A thank you for the partner spotlight TPS Parent Resource Center!
Through our partnership with the TPS Parent Resource Center, our resource navigators and a Financial Empowerment counselor are embedded on site and ready to support TPS families.

This week’s PRC Partner Spotlight is Tulsa Responds!

Tulsa Responds helps connect individuals and families with valuable resources and support, including assistance with tax preparation, health insurance enrollment, and other services that help families access programs and benefits they may qualify for.

We’re thankful to have Tulsa Responds as an on-site partner at the Parent Resource Center and for their continued commitment to supporting TPS families.

Glenda, Ana, and Avery from our VITA leadership team represented Tulsa Responds at the recent RAISE Texas conference in Austin, TX—and came back inspired!

They’re bringing what they learned into the upcoming season to improve the experience for our clients, interns, and volunteers and help more community members access free tax filing.
Our team is ready to put these ideas into action.

Last week, our summer team retreat gave us time to reflect on our progress, strengthen how we work together, and refocus on our mission of connecting Tulsa families with essential services and resources.

We’re carrying this work into the rest of the year to provide better, more consistent service to the community members we serve.

Welcoming Week is here! Tonight, you can catch a financial literacy course at Tulsa Tech, led by the City of Tulsa Gov's Office of Financial Empowerment and Community Wealth and a Financial Empowerment Center Bank On Partner, Tinker Federal Credit Union.

Through local events and initiatives, Welcoming Week brings immigrants and non-immigrants together to build understanding, connection, and a stronger sense of belonging for everyone.

Have you heard the news? 👀 Tulsa Responds is doubling in size! Our main office at 21st and Sheridan is currently under construction as we expand our space to better serve our clients and community.
While we grow, we’re still here for you. All Tulsa Responds services remain available at our co-located partner sites and over the phone.
We hope to return to our expanded main office by the end of the year. Follow our page and stay tuned for updates! 🤞

In observance of Labor Day, Tulsa Responds will be closed on Monday, September 7. Benefits enrollment, free tax filing, and financial counseling will resume on Tuesday, September 8. Wishing all a safe and happy Labor Day.
