Most organizations focus on immediate relief or long-term restoration, but lasting impact happens when both work together.

Restoration is about more than solving a temporary problem. It’s about caring for the whole person and creating a path toward long-term stability, growth, and success.

At Heroes Hope and Soldier’s Wish, we believe veterans deserve more than short-term solutions. Through relief, restoration, and recovery, we’re able to help veterans move beyond crisis and toward a stronger future.

This is what the continuum of care looks like.

Soldier’s Wish exists to meet the needs of veterans, service members, and their families across the country, stepping in at the moments that matter most.

Many of the challenges veterans face begin with a single unmet need, something that can quickly become a barrier to stability, progress, and daily life. By fully funding each wish, we’re able to remove those barriers completely, not temporarily.

Through this approach, we don’t just meet a need, we create meaningful, lasting impact that allows veterans to move forward with confidence, stability, and support.

On June 10 in Big Spring, TX, we had the honor of helping fulfill a final birthday wish for U.S. Army veteran Frank Wills, who is currently in hospice care. Frank's request was simple but meaningful: to enjoy the time he had left in places that brought him joy and good memories.

With the support of our partners, Soldier’s Wish was able to assist with medical accommodations and transportation, including a wheelchair-accessible van and professional care support, to make this trip possible.

💙 We extend our heartfelt thanks to:
West Texas VA Health Care System
MobilityWorks
Arcadia Home Care & Staffing
Zia Park Casino Hotel Racetrack

Frank covered the trip himself, our role was simply to help make the journey safe, dignified, and memorable. It was a true honor to play a small part in this very personal wish.

Please consider donating at SoldiersWish.org to help us continue honoring veterans like Frank. 🇺🇸 soldierswish.betterworld.org/donate

Real impact happens when care is connected.

Through the alignment of Soldier’s Wish and Heroes Hope, we’re able to support veterans at every stage, before crisis, during hardship, and as they rebuild.

Relief allows us to step in quickly and prevent crisis, while restoration provides the stability needed to move forward.

Together, this creates a more complete path to recovery.

Stability starts with a place to call home.

Through our partnership with Heroes Hope, we’re able to support veterans beyond immediate needs, helping create long-term stability through housing and restoration.

This is what it looks like when relief and restoration work together.

Soldier’s Wish was honored to support Barry Burke and the United States Army Brotherhood of Tankers (USABOT) by helping provide financial assistance for soldiers participating in the Cavalry & Armor Association Annual Ball during Sullivan Cup events.

For many junior soldiers and young military families, the cost of attending this meaningful event can be a financial challenge. Through this wish, Soldier’s Wish helped ensure that participating soldiers could take part in an evening that celebrates professionalism, heritage, camaraderie, and the proud traditions of the Armor branch.

USABOT shared that our support allowed soldiers to attend with pride and dignity while reinforcing the importance of honoring those who serve. We are grateful for the opportunity to support active-duty soldiers and organizations like USABOT that work tirelessly to preserve military heritage and strengthen the bonds within the Army community.

Together, we can continue supporting service members and military families across the country. 🇺🇸 Know a veteran, service member, or military family in need? Submit a nomination at soldierswish.org.

Today, we honor the women who have served not just for their strength, but for the lasting impact they continue to make long after their service ends.
Natasha Rohr is one of those women.

An Air Force veteran, military spouse, and member of the Soldier’s Wish team, Natasha brings both professional dedication and personal experience to our mission. As a veteran and a wish recipient herself, she understands firsthand the sacrifices made, and the importance of support.

Her story is a powerful reminder that service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off.
Today, we recognize Natasha and all women veterans whose service, sacrifice, and continued impact shape the communities around them. 🇺🇸

Soldier’s Wish recently had the opportunity to support Joel Harms of Grove, Oklahoma, through a simple but meaningful wish.

Joel requested assistance with a flagpole so he could proudly display the American flag at his home. Joel’s humility was evident throughout the nomination process, making this wish all the more meaningful to grant.

Thanks to the support of The Home Depot Foundation, Joel's wish became a reality, allowing him to proudly honor the country he served each day. We are grateful for partners like The Home Depot Foundation, who help make wishes like this possible, and for veterans like Joel who continue to inspire us through their humility and patriotism. 🇺🇸
