The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Deputy Guillermo Vasquez Jr. Deputy Vasquez always went above and beyond the call of duty. He started as a detention officer and worked his way up to become a deputy and serve his community. Deputy Vasquez was passionate, hard-working, and strong-willed. His passing was unexpected and our hearts ache. Please place his family, friends, and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. Rest In Peace Deputy.
