POV: You were blessed by the food pantry with an abundance of yellow squash... but it’s a holiday weekend. 😅🎃

Mine are currently tucked safely away in the fridge crisper drawer waiting until Monday because life got too busy. But once the holiday is over, it is game on.Give me your absolute quickest, easiest ways to use these up!

I’m thinking:👉 Sautéed with some garlic, onions, and butter 🧅🧄👉 Tossed in an air fryer with a little parm cheese

🧀👉 Shaved raw into a quick summer side salad

🥗What’s your go-to recipe? Drop your favorite quick fixes in the comments below—bonus points if my kids will actually eat it! 👇👇

Are all sweet potatoes the same? 🤔

They sure don't look like it!

When you picked up your monthly food box this week, you might have noticed some sweet potatoes that look like perfect orange footballs, while others looked like they’re auditioning for a sci-fi movie. 🍠

Despite the wild shapes and wonky sizes, most of what you'll find in your box are The Classics (like Beauregard and Jewel sweet potatoes). They are the ones with the copper-brown skin and that unmistakable, bright orange inside.

Here is what you need to know about these classic orange crowd-pleasers:The Flavor: They are naturally super sweet and get even sweeter when you cook them.

The Texture: They get incredibly soft and fluffy, making them absolute perfection for mashing, baking, or turning into fries.

The Nutrition: No matter how weirdly shaped they are on the outside, they are packed with Vitamins A and C, fiber, and healthy energy.

So don't be shy if you see a giant, twisted one in your box this month—it's just extra classic goodness on the inside!

🍑 Got some not-so-sweet peaches in your pantry box this week? Don't let them go to waste!

Sometimes when it rains a lot during harvest season, these beautiful stone fruits grow nice and big but don't pack that sugary punch we expect. The good news?

They are still incredibly good for you and perfectly usable! Here are a few quick, budget-friendly ways our food pantry team loves to sweeten them up: Macerate them: Slice them up, sprinkle a tiny bit of sugar or honey over the top, and let them sit at room temperature for an hour. They’ll start creating their own delicious, sweet syrup!Bake a quick Crumble or Cobbler: Tossing less-sweet peaches with cinnamon, nutmeg, and a little sugar before baking brings out all their natural juices and masks any lack of sweetness. Blend into Smoothies or Oatmeal: Toss them into a morning smoothie with a banana, or chop them up to cook directly into your morning oats.Make a Sweet & Savory Snack: Pair sliced peaches with cottage cheese or yogurt, and add a tiny drizzle of honey.✨

Why they are still a nutritional powerhouse: Even if they aren't super sweet right off the tree, these peaches are absolutely packed with goodness!

A single medium peach provides: Smooth Digestion: About 6% to 9% of your daily fiber needs to support gut health.

Immune Support: Roughly 11% of your daily vitamin C requirement, plus vitamin A and zinc to keep your natural defenses sharp. Antioxidants: Loaded with nutrients that help lower inflammation throughout the body. What is your favorite way to eat peaches and let us know your favorite way to cook them! 💛
