Today, we proudly witnessed the unveiling of the Liberty Tree and plaque, honoring America's Semiquincentennial. As July 4th approaches, we eagerly anticipate the various festivities that will take place across the state, celebrating America's 250th birthday. The Liberty Tree and plaque were generously sponsored by The State of Alabama. We are grateful to Commissioner Tommy Barnes for his participation in the unveiling and for his remarks. We also appreciate the attendance of staff members from different courthouse departments, as well as the Mayor of Tuscumbia, Commissioner Tyrus Mansell, Probate Judge Daniel Rosser, Sheriff Eric Balentine, Revenue Commissioner Tommy Oswalt, and representatives from the DAR and American Legion.
