Update:
A representative from the Oklahoma Corporation Commission did an on-site inspection and has confirmed that the fracking equipment has been removed from the well-site in Bridgecreek.

A 1.7 quake hit this afternoon and has resulted in many calls and e-mails to the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. 1.7 is supposed to be well below the level that can be felt, but apparently that does not apply to Bridge Creek. We have an inspector on his way to the site to make sure the operator is still in compliance with yesterday’s directive. The quake could be an aftershock from the original quake. The Commissioner's and Sheriff's office drove by the well site today and confirmed that fracking equipment was being removed from the drill site.

The Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner with the recommendation of Grady County Commissioner Mike Walker have temporarily placed a 12 hour hold on fracking activities at the Worley Creek drill sight on Sooner Road just west of Czech Hall. During this time the drilling operator must meet with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission and present a plan before continuing any additional activity at this well site. This is the result of an earthquake that took place an hour ago in the Bridgecreek/Tuttle area.

Matt Skinner with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission has been receiving phone calls all day long and asked that I share the following information:

There are four wells drilled at the pad on Sooner Road just west of Czech Hall the Worley Creek 1H-20-17, Worley Creek 2H-20-17, Worley Creek 1H-29-32, and the Worley Creek 2H-29-32. Wells are drilled in this manner to reduce the overall cost of drilling a new well by using one pad, while drilling horizontal in different directions to maximize production. Each well was drilled vertically 2 miles down, and then 2 miles horizontally (NW and SW). These wells have been permitted to drill into three separate formations, the Mississippian, the Mississippi Lime, and the Woodford. The horizontal legs that were causing the issue was drilled directionally north and fracking has been permanently suspended in those legs. There are 2.5 or more miles between frack areas and they do not anticipate that the other zones will be an issue.

Other tremors that were felt after the initial quake are residual from the first frack job and not because of new activity. The Oklahoma Corporation Commission is carefully monitoring these wells.
