Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Andrew Cross and to his fellow members of Morrill, ME Volunteer Fire Department.

To serve comes with sacrifice and Andrew sacrificed all. May he rest knowing he will forever be honored by those that loved him and by his fellow firefighters everywhere.

At approx. 12:40 yesterday, Twin Mountain Fire was requested to assist with a brush fire in Harts Location, at the Arethusa Falls Rd, along the railroad tracks.
As crews were arriving it was obvious that the 1 fire was actually 3 separate fires, causing available resources to be divided.
Multiple crews from around the region battled extremely difficult and dangerous terrain to get the fires contained.
Crews began being released around 18:00.

Late last night our new forestry/utility truck arrived from Utah. This beautiful 2026 Ram 5500 is a much needed upgrade from our 2012 Ford F250 that has been showing a lot of fatigue and been struggling to continue meeting our needs.

With a 400gal water tank, dual hose reels, drafting ability, ample storage, and a heavier towing capacity, this truck is going to far better suit our needs for the future.

Thank you to all the residents that approved this purchase and thank you Chief Duncan and CPD Lt. MacMillan for driving it home.

Also thank you to Outback Fire Apparatus for building us a fantastic truck in an extremely short amount of time.

Next step is decals and outfitting with equipment!

At 8:20 this morning Twin Mountain was dispatched to a single MVA with 3 patients on Rt 115 in Carroll.
E3, A1, and A2 responded as well as Bethlehem Ambulance and Whitefield Ambulance.
Whitefield was canceled after Twin units arrived on scene and assessed the patients. Bethlehem continued for the 3rd patient.
All patients were transported to LRH for further evaluation and care.
Thank you Carroll Police, NH State Police, GC Dispatch, and our mutual aid partners for their assistance.

We would also like to thank our members for their continued dedication. At both of our recent car accidents, we were able to staff both of our ambulances with an AEMT and Paramedic crew in each. We pride ourselves on the fact that statistically 98-99% of our ambulance calls each year are staffed at the ALS level. A number that rivals any much larger department. That is only possible through the dedication and hard efforts of our small group of members. Responding at all hours, striving for higher levels of care, and prioritizing public safety. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do.

At 17:00 this evening, Twin Mountain Fire Rescue was dispatched for a MVC, initially reported as being on fire. Fortunately that was not the case.
The vehicle left the roadway on Rt 115, going over an embankment, and colliding with a tree.
Both occupants were extricated from the vehicle after it was stabilized and were transported to Littleton Regional Hospital.

At approximately 12:45 today, we were called mutual aid to assist Bethlehem Fire with a reported snowmobile accident on the Sugarloaf Trail.
Twin Mountain X1 (w/ the rescue ATV) and A1 responded to Lake Rd in Twin Mountain at the trail access nearest the accident. Bethlehem A1 and fire personnel met us on scene and the ATV was deployed. The injured rider was located and Twin Mountain providers transported them out of the woods to Bethlehem's ambulance for transport to LRH.
Today marks the 8th snowmobile accident that we have been a part of this season. 7 of which required rescue ATV deployment.
As the warm weather continues, the trail conditions are rapidly deteriorating. Please use extreme caution, regardless of riding experience. The trails can go from snow, to ice, to mud and back again, all within a very short distance. Sometimes requiring even quicker reaction times than normal.
We thank Bethlehem Fire and Jefferson Fire for entrusting us to assist them this season. We appreciate our neighbors and are always happy to help or receive it when we need it.

At approximately 10:40 this morning, TMFR responded to the area of Pipeline Trail and Zealand Trail for a snowmobile accident.
The rider was transported via our rescue ATV to the Zealand parking area and was transported to LRH. The patient luckily sustained only minor injuries.
This was our 6th snowmobile accident of the season with 5 of them requiring the ATV to be deployed. Making this the busiest season in recent record.

We would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Patrick's family, friends, and co-workers.

The majority of our ambulance calls during the winter are for injured skiers and snowboarders at Bretton Woods. As a result, we have worked with Patrick many, many times over the years and he was always so kind and compassionate to every patient and worked very well with us. He will be missed.

Rest easy Patrick.
