Please be cautious near the rising water. NEVER drive through what you can't see. Water current may not look turbulent, but can quickly cause you to loose your footing.

We have some high water areas in Two Rivers as a result of the heavy rain this afternoon that have caused the rivers to rise. Please pay attention to areas of standing and moving water and avoid driving through these areas if at all possible.

Couple of things happened this week:

Fatzos Subs & Pizza teamed up with TRFD Local 423 to deliver sub sandwiches to the firehouses in Appleton.

A local buisness was having an issue with their flag pole and asked for help before Memorial Day. T11 and a crew went over and fixed the rope for them.

Have a SAFE weekend!!

National EMS week is here! Your Paramedics are here for you 24/7/365. Some do not know, but your paramedics work for 24 hours (Work, Eat, and Sleep) at the Firehouse. This is 3 days a week without seeing their loved ones.

They form families at the firehouse with their brothers and sisters. These families are part of something much bigger. This week several members attended the funeral service of the fallen Appleton Firefighter. They may not have known Mitch but he was their brother too and their hearts are heavy.

If you know, or see, a Two Rivers Firefighter/Paramedic thank them for what they do because they are here to help YOU.

We are often asked where resident's can dispose of medications they no longer use. This is a great way to dispose of medications properly and avoid any misuse of the old medication in the future! Please take advantage of this excellent program and follow the directions posted.

We have a new permanent Drug Dropbox thanks to the Manitowoc County Recycling Center! The dropbox is located in City Hall by the Police Department entrance. Lobby hours are 8am-4:30pm M-F.
*remember to remove pills from the original container and put them in a sealed “Ziplock” style bag before placing items in the drug drop box. Empty pill containers should placed in your home recycling or trash. Liquid, powder, and cream medications should remain in the original bottles with caps tightened. No needles.

At 1239 today TRFD C-Shift E10 and C14 were dispatched to a report of a house fire. Upon arrival E10's crew extinguished a small fire that damaged the exterior of a one family residential structure.

The TRFD would like to thank a USPS mail carrier who saw the fire, alerted the occupants and called 911. The occupants were able to evacuate without incident. Thanks also go out to the TRPD officers who assisted at this incident.

Here are two of the voices you may hear when you call 911. This week is Public Service Telecommunicators week and we can't thank Manitowoc County Emergency Services Division enough and their excellent Dispatchers.

Dispatchers don't usually get the appreciation they deserve. They are responsible for answering emergency and non-emergency phone calls throughout manitowoc county. On top of that they may have to talk you through life saving procedures and dispatch the correct resources.

The Two Rivers Fire Department always thanks you and appreciates you all, but ESPECIALLY this week!

Pictured are Haelee and Amanda from Manitowoc County Joint Dispatch Center with a fruit basket purchased by Firefighters Local 423.

Tonight Captain Randy Pinchard walks out of the firehouse for his last time. Captain Pinchard has just over 30 years with the City of Two Rivers Fire Department. Captain Pinchard was a Fire Officer for almost half of his career and a Union Officer for several years. Randy leaves with a wealth of knowledge and history of the department.

Randy was presented the flag flown on his last day on shift, an axe from the union stating his years of service, and a gift box from Mr Buckley (City Manager).

You will be greatly missed Randy, and we all wish you a long happy and healthy retirement. We hope You and Nancy enjoy your next chapter in life!
