The Statewide Burn Ban had been EXTENDED THROUGH April 10, 2026
What does this mean?
-NO OPEN BURING ALLOWED
-CONDITIONS REMAIN EXTREMELY DRY
-🔥HIGH FIRE DANGER PERSISTS🔥

PLEASE HELP protect our communities and natural resources.

VIOLATIONS MAY RESULT IN FINES OR OTHER PENALITIES.

STAY SAFE EVERYONE!

Uehling Fire and Rescue would like to notify residents that effective immediately, the State of Nebraska has issued an Executive Order banning all Open Burn Permits for the next 14 days.

During this time, no burn permits can be issued for any purpose, and any previously issued permits that have not yet been completed are now null and void. Open burning is not allowed during this period.

State officials will review conditions before the 14-day period ends to determine if the ban needs to be extended. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation as we work together to keep our community safe during these dangerous fire conditions.

Its been a busy day for Uehling Fire & Rescue responding to four field fires.

A big thank you to the surrounding fire departments who responded to assist, and to the local farmers who brought tractors and discs to help cut fire breaks and stop the spread. Your quick response and teamwork made a huge difference.

If any farmers in our district would like to be added to a group text so we can reach out when needed, please contact Travis Christiansen at 402-620-1968 and he will add you to the list.

We had a great time coming together for our annual meeting and awards night. It was an opportunity to recognize the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our members who serve our community year round.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Uehling Fire & Rescue. We’re proud of our team and grateful for all you do. Also a big shoutout to Muff’s Prime Rib Night for catering the delicious dinner and Hooper Volunteer Fire Department for covering our calls last night.

As we wrap up another year, we want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who has supported Uehling Fire & Rescue throughout the year.

In 2025, our members responded to a total of 46 fire and rescue calls, always ready to serve when our community needed us. This wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our volunteers and the continued support from our residents, donors, and surrounding departments.

We are truly grateful for each and every one of you. From all of us at Uehling Fire & Rescue, we wish you a safe, healthy, and Happy New Year!
