Training day at the station!
Our crew spent time hands-on with some of our newest lifesaving equipment: the ZOLL Zenix cardiac/defibrillator and the AutoPulse NXT automated CPR system.
Continuous training ensures that when you call 911, you get the highest level of emergency care possible. We’re proud to bring this state-of-the-art medical technology to our community!

This was great inter-agency training thank you to everyone who put this training together.

Happy International Firefighters’ Day 🚒🔥

A day to recognize the folks who run toward the problem while everyone else is running the other way… and somehow still manage to joke about it later.

At Uehling Fire & Rescue, we’re proud of our crew—showing up at all hours, living on pager tones, questionable sleep, and just the right amount of sarcasm to get through it all.

Truth is, behind the jokes is a group that cares a whole lot about this community and the people in it.

Big thanks to everyone who supports us we appreciate it more than you know.

Stay safe out there.

High fire danger for today.

High fire danger for today.

Critical Fire Danger Across Nebraska for Thursday, April 16th.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect Thursday from 11 AM CDT / 10 AM MDT through Midnight CDT / 11 PM MDT for large sections of Nebraska. Expect high temperatures of 79 to 86°F, very low humidity of 9 to 15 percent, and strong south winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. Under these conditions, any fire ignition will spread rapidly and be difficult to control.

If you have done any pile burning in the past few weeks, keep checking those sites. Holdover heat can stay buried in ash or root systems for days or even weeks, and fires can reignite when warm, dry, windy conditions return.

So far this year, one million acres have burned in Nebraska and it is only April. Please avoid activities that could spark a fire and stay vigilant.
