Just picked up the most gorgeous hanging baskets for tomorrow’s plant sale and they are BEAUTIFUL.

Franklin County Master Gardeners Annual Spring Plant Sale is tomorrow, Saturday, May 9th from 9AM–2PM at Clocktower Plaza in Washington (next to McDonald’s). We’ve also got natives, herbs, perennials, collectibles, and a raffle.

Mother’s Day is Sunday, and a hanging basket makes a perfect gift, or just treat yourself! 🌸

This Saturday at 9 AM, Franklin County Master Gardeners will be planting 180 marigolds at the roundabout near East Central College, and we'd love some extra hands!

If you'd like to join us, come on out. It's a great way to beautify our community and get your hands in the dirt. 🌟

Save the Date: Franklin County Master Gardeners Plant Sale is coming!

Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 9 from 9 AM – 2 PM at Clocktower Plaza in Washington, MO (next to McDonald's).

We'll have a beautiful selection of natives, herbs, perennials, hanging baskets, and more. Plus a garden shop with collectibles and a raffle drawing.

This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, supporting the Franklin County Master Gardeners Scholarship Fund - awarded annually to a Franklin County student pursuing studies in horticulture or a related field.

Mark it on your calendar and bring a friend. More details to come! 🌸

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Seed Starting 101 on Saturday! It was such a pleasure spending time with you and talking about one of our favorite subjects - planting seeds!

If you couldn't make it, no worries. We've shared our full presentation as a Facebook album. It's packed with tips on timing, soil, light, watering, and common mistakes to avoid. Save it, share it, refer back to it all season long.

Providing horticultural education to our community is at the heart of everything we do as Franklin County Master Gardeners, and that doesn't stop when the workshop ends.

Our holiday gathering this year was extra special as we celebrated 25 years of the Franklin County Master Gardeners and the incredible people who make this group what it is.

Over the past 25 years, our members have volunteered 39,171 hours in our community. From gardens and plant sales to education, outreach, and everything in between, those hours represent a whole lot of time, care, and dedication.

This year, we recognized Master Gardeners who have given anywhere from 100 hours to more than 1,000 cumulative hours of service, a powerful reminder of just how much heart goes into this chapter.

We’re so grateful for everyone who has been part of this chapter - past and present - and for those who continue to carry the mission forward. Here’s to 25 years of learning, growing, and giving back together!
