Last weekend scouts from Troop 334, out of Queen of Heaven, took 1st place in the Klondike winter camping competition. This weekend they are cooking and serving their annual pasta dinner. Come support these winning scouts!

The dinner will be held at The Queen of Heaven Church, Parish Life Center (1800 Steese Road, Uniontown) on Saturday, January 25th from 4:30 to 7:00 P.M. You can dine in or carry out. Dinner is $12 for adults or $10 for kids.

All the proceeds will benefit Troop 334 Scout’s general operating funds that help with the costs of scout awards, scout and adult training, plus camping gear and supplies.

The annual Queen of Heaven Family Fun Days is this weekend. Saturday features the famous Boy Scout BBQ dinner!
Where: Queen of Heaven
When: Saturday, July 27th
Time: 5:00 to 7:30
Entertainment: La Flavour will be the band playing that evening.
Dinner Cost: Child and Seniors $8.00 and Adult $12.00
Menu: the adult dinner is 2 meats, 3 sides, cornbread, and a lemonade/tea and the child/senior dinner is 1 meat, 2 sides, cornbread, and a lemonade/tea

This is one of our major fundraisers during the year and a successful dinner will allow Troop 334 to provide a fun and beneficial program for its scouts; to try new things, provide service to others and build self confidence.

The newest and eighth shrine of St. Dymphna, on the Queen of Heaven Church grounds, was blessed by Bishop Edward C. Malesic this weekend as a part of the parish 60th Anniversary Celebration. The St. Dymphna Shrine is the Eagle Scout project of J.P. (John Paul) Moorhead. He is a Queen of Heaven parishioner and a member of its Boy Scout Troop 334. His siblings along with boy scout members and friends helped with the project.
St. Dymphna is the patron saint of those with mental illness. This shrine can touch many people, children, youth as well as adults, who possibly have in their lives fear, anxieties, depression, hyperactivity, impulsiveness, distractibility, or motor overactivity, to name a few conditions.
