City of Live Oak, Texas

The Governor spoke today about his plan to open Texas businesses. Here are some bullet points form his address. The Texas Governor's Report To Open Texas is on the State of Texas web site and contains a lot of good information. We will find its link and post it later. It came to me as just a PDF.

• All retail stores, restaurants, movie theaters, and malls are permitted to reopen on Friday, May 1. These services must limit their capacity to 25% of their listed occupancy.
• Within shopping malls, the food-court dining areas, play areas, and interactive displays and settings must remain closed.
• All museums and libraries may open under the same 25% occupancy limitation, but interactive areas of museums must remain closed.
• Single-person offices may reopen as well.
• Churches and places of worship remain open.
• Outdoor sports are allowed to resume so long as no more than four participants are playing together at one time.
• Public swimming pools, bars, gyms, cosmetology salons, barber shops, nail salons, massage establishments, bowling alleys, video arcades, and tattoo and piercing studios will remain closed through Phase I.
• Phase I will begin Friday May 1 and continue until at least May 18.

Stand by for more information.

Please keep our family and city partners City of Live Oak, Texas in hour thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Speaking for all of us at Texas Tri-county, we are truly sorry for your loss.

A message from Mayor Mary M. Dennis: It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that Live Oak City Council, administrative staff and the entire Live Oak community mourn the passing of Live Oak City Councilmember Anthony Brooks. Councilman Brooks joined council in 2015 and was a valued and active member. Although his job assignments would have him away, he always stayed connected to his service and commitment to our residents. He also served as a member director of the Live Oak Economic Development Corporation (EDC). He served honorably in the United States Army. Anthony was dedicated and took serving on the council very seriously. He had a background in Finance from working for the City of San Antonio and his current job. He was always very attentive when working on the city’s budget. Councilman Brooks will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition, the city lost another valuable member of the community. We also mourn the loss of EDC Citizen Director Phillip Tsai-Brooks. Phillip was a valued member of the city’s Economic Development Corporation and brought a unique perspective to the board. Phillip was the owner of a salon in San Antonio and worked hard to make it a successful small business. The void in the leadership of the council and corporation will be notable. We are forever grateful for both Anthony’s and Phillip’s service to our Live Oak Community and to our country. May God Bless their family and all who were blessed to call both men “friend.”

Hey TX Tri County! RE/MAX Corridor is expanding and in need of hiring 2 staff positions, an Agent Coordinator for our Schertz Office and a Director of First Impressions for the New Cibolo office. One of my ALL-TIME favorite singers with a voice from God. Unfortunately, another well-earned fortune likely destroyed through probate and legal fees. As I finish out National Make-A-Will month; a very poignant reminder EVERYONE needs a will. It's included with your family LegalShield Plan.
August is Make-a-Will Month and a perfect opportunity to complete your will. One of the greatest benefits of a family LegalShield policy is the will package. The process starts with completing the LegalShield will questionnaire, which is available via the LegalShield app. You may also obtain a will questionnaire by calling LegalShield or your provider law firm. Texas Tri-County members receive a DISCOUNTED rate too!
