The Snider Plaza Tree Lighting, like many other events in 2020, will be virtual this year and we are looking for a young resident to help the Mayor light the tree! Much like our Citizen of the Year award that annually recognizes a University Park resident who works behind the scenes to better our community’s quality of life, the City is looking for a young resident who has helped support classmates, teammates, friends, church members or family members during 2020.

Hi UP Families! As everyone settles back into routines after the holidays, many high school students are starting to think about the college admissions process. It's exciting (and sometimes overwhelming) which is why Friday & Saturday (1/25, 1/26) I'll be hosting "College Coffee Dates!" After working for nearly a decade in college admissions offices in the northeast, I'm happy to be home in University Park working with families here. Come meet me for a 30 minute chat at the Starbucks in Highland Park Village to discuss your questions about college applications. Feel free to bring your student if you'd like, but not required. It's completely free and first come first serve, so please e-mail me your time request. ([email protected]) Hope everyone is having a great week! Liz Durham
