Families across the country are already doing their best to make ends meet—now is not the time to cut the critical supports they rely on.

📉 Reduced access to health care, food assistance, and early care and learning will only hurt children and families, undermining their well-being and long-term success.

🚨 Infants and toddlers with disabilities deserve better.

Instead of putting their early learning and medical care at risk, Congress should be expanding access to critical federal funding that supports their development and well-being.

📢 Use these tools from our partners at Division for Early Childhood (DEC) to contact your U.S. Representatives and urge them to vote NO on H.R. 1. Our youngest children are counting on us.

The future of Head Start and Early Head Start is at risk. These programs — lifelines for hundreds of thousands of children and families — are being pushed to the brink by rising costs, staffing shortages and growing community needs. The President’s Fiscal Year 2026 budget proposes flat funding for the third year in a row. While it’s a relief funding wasn’t cut, flat funding is not enough to continue serving the 800,000+ families currently enrolled in Head Start and the many more who remain unserved. Contact your federal legislators and demand the investment our children, families and communities need and deserve:

Head Start is at risk. The proposed FY26 budget includes flat funding for the program. Tell Congress: flat funding isn’t enough — our children deserve more.

From digging in the dirt to watching plants grow, gardening is more than just outdoor fun — it’s a hands-on way for children to explore nature, science and so much more! 🌱🌼

Gardening introduces little ones to where food comes from and how things grow, while also creating space for early learning in math, language, culture and social skills.
