I was honored to preside over the House today as we PASSED The Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act AND the sense of Congress condemning the recent attacks on pro-life facilities, groups, and churches. Republicans will always stand to protect America's pro-life values.
We’ve seen the Dems use the IRS & the tax code as political weapons before. That’s why Republicans voted last night to pull funding for their 87,000-agent IRS army. Americans deserve a government that’s accountable & works FOR them, not AGAINST them.
In one of the first votes since Kevin McCarthy became House speaker, the chamber voted to rescind more than $70 billion in funding to the IRS.

The FM Area Diversion Project will provide permanent and reliable flood protection to an estimated 230,000 residents of the Fargo-Moorhead area. It was great to visit the area last week to see the project, which has been more than a decade in the making.
Farmers have been hit hard by the extreme drought, and I saw it firsthand at Four Hill Farms, Inc. near Barnesville today.
Most of Minnesota is in an extreme drought and our farmers are facing a tremendous hardship. There are reports that herd culling is already being done around the region due to a lack of quality feed, and farmers will soon be forced to make impossible decisions regarding their crops and livestock. I have asked the Administration to allow emergency haying and grazing on CRP lands now, but that request was met with silence. If the drought continues to worsen – and if the Administration does not act – the impacts on our entire economy will be far reaching.
