There are 30 lakefront full hookups with 30 and 50 amp service.There are also 12 non lakefront full hookups.

🇺🇸🚤 AMERICA TURNS 250… LET’S CELEBRATE IN STYLE! 🚤🇺🇸

The Lake Claiborne Fourth of July Boat Parade is back, and this year we’re celebrating a milestone 250 years in the making!

It’s America’s 250th Birthday, and we’re calling on everyone to help make this year’s parade the biggest, boldest, and most patriotic one yet.

Deck out your boat in red, white, and blue. Fly those flags. Turn up the patriotic spirit. And let’s fill Lake Claiborne with a celebration worthy of America’s semiquincentennial!

This year, we will also proudly honor the memory of our 2026 Boat Parade Grand Marshal, Dick Dorrell, whose love for Lake Claiborne, community traditions, and the Fourth of July celebration helped make this event what it is today.

🏆 And yes… the Most Patriotic Float competition returns!

Our judges will once again be spread throughout the parade route looking for the boat that best captures the spirit of America, Lake Claiborne, and the Fourth of July.

So don’t hold back.

🇺🇸 CONTINUING A TRADITION OF HONORING COMMUNITY LEADERS 🇺🇸

Yesterday, we paused to remember our 2025 Lake Claiborne Fourth of July Boat Parade Grand Marshal, Clyde C. Hightower, and the tremendous impact he had on our community.

Today, we continue that tradition by announcing the individual we will honor during this year’s celebration.

🚤 The 2026 Lake Claiborne Fourth of July Boat Parade Grand Marshal will be recognized in memory of Dick Dorrell.

For many years, Dick was one of the driving forces behind the Lake Claiborne Fourth of July celebration. Long before the fireworks lit up the sky and boats lined up for the parade, Dick was working behind the scenes helping make it all happen.

From helping organize the fireworks show to proudly leading the annual boat parade, Dick devoted countless hours to a celebration he loved and believed in.

But Dick’s impact reached far beyond the Fourth of July.

He was known for his boundless energy, generous spirit, sense of humor, and willingness to help anyone in need. Through his involvement in countless community organizations, local events, his business, and even his music, Dick spent a lifetime bringing people together and making Claiborne Parish a better place.

Anyone who knew Dick knew a joke was never far away, and neither was a helping hand.

Sixteen years after his passing, his legacy continues to live on through the traditions, friendships, and memories he helped create around Lake Claiborne.

As we gather this Independence Day, we will proudly honor a man who helped shape the celebration so many of us enjoy today.

🇺🇸 A PAUSE TO HONOR A COMMUNITY LEADER 🇺🇸

This week, we will announce the 2026 Lake Claiborne Fourth of July Boat Parade Grand Marshal.

Before we do, we want to take a moment to honor the man who proudly served as our 2025 Grand Marshal, Clyde C. Hightower.

This past week, Claiborne Parish lost a true servant, leader, and friend.

Clyde spent a lifetime serving the community he loved. From his service in the United States Army and National Guard, to his years as Claiborne Parish Tax Assessor, to his involvement with countless civic organizations, churches, and community projects, Clyde always found ways to give back.

In 2025, we were honored to recognize him as the Lake Claiborne Fourth of July Boat Parade Grand Marshal—a fitting tribute to a man whose life reflected the values of service, patriotism, and community.

Those who knew Clyde knew he never met a stranger. He was always ready to lend a hand, share a story, support a local cause, or simply show up when he was needed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the entire Hightower family during this difficult time.

As we celebrate Independence Day in the weeks ahead, we will remember Clyde’s legacy and the example he set for all of us.

Thank you, Clyde, for your service to Claiborne Parish, Lake Claiborne, and the generations of people whose lives you touched.

Message from your Pleasure Point family. ❤️

We understand that not every experience will be perfect, and we know we can’t make everyone happy all the time—even though we truly try our best.

For those who know us, you know that Pleasure Point is a family-run business. Behind the scenes, we’re parents, spouses, business owners, and employees with responsibilities outside of the marina. Many of our staff members are balancing other jobs, school, and family commitments as well.

We ask that everyone remember that you never know what someone else may be going through on any given day. A little patience and kindness can go a long way. If a staff member isn’t smiling as much as you’d expect, please remember they’re human too.

We also know many of you want to camp with us, and we are incredibly grateful for that support. Unfortunately, with a limited number of campsites and a large number of long-term campers, we simply cannot accommodate every request for a weekend stay. Please know that when we tell you we’re full, it’s not because we don’t want you here. In fact, we spend a lot of time trying to rearrange and maximize every available space to help as many people as possible enjoy the lake with us.

At the end of the day, our goal has always been the same: provide a place where families and friends can relax, make memories, and enjoy Lake Claiborne.

To everyone who continues to support us, show grace, and treat our staff like family—thank you. We appreciate you more than you know.
