Seasoned Skillets (One‑Skillet Meals) has become one of the Center’s most popular programs since Alexus from the OSU Extension Office introduced it to our Friends! She shows everyone how to enjoy healthy, flavorful meals with minimal cleanup — and our Friends absolutely love it.
Last week, Alexus prepared easy 5‑minute air fryer tortilla pizzas. Friends picked their favorite toppings and enjoyed light, delicious personal pizzas.
Classes are held in the Gather Room on the lower level every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 12:00 pm.

Last Call!
We have a fun Fall Craft with Cindy coming up on Wednesday, September 30 at 12 pm! All supplies will be provided to make the pumpkin, and you’re welcome to bring a glue gun if you have one.
Spaces are limited, so come get creative with us!
The cost is $15 per person.

Karaoke Night is the first Friday of every month at The Center from 6:00 to 9:00 pm! Join us on October 2 for a fun evening filled with singing, laughter, and great company.
Sing solo or grab a friend and perform together — we have over 55,000 song choices and multiple microphones so everyone can join in the fun.
Admission is $5.
Concessions will be available, so bring your appetite and your best karaoke energy!
We hope to see you there! 🎤✨

Lunch is served at The Center weekdays from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm! Enjoy a delicious meal prepared by our Nutrition Department and spend some time visiting with Friends at The Center.
The suggested donation for our Friends 60 & better is $3.
For anyone under 60, the required cost is $5.50.
Prefer to take your meal to go? You can reserve a Grab & Go meal at least one day in advance to pick up between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.

Urban Greens is returning to the Center on Monday, September 28 for a hands-on class all about growing your own herbs! 🌿
Megan Taylor will be leading this free session as part of our Growing Together: Hands On Gardening series.
Join us from 10:00–11:00 AM in the Thrive Room on the lower level of the Center.

We’re wrapping up September and heading straight into October next week! Here are a few highlights and some schedule updates at the Center:
• Monday:
– No arthritis exercises at 9:30 AM.
– Join us at 10 AM for the second class in our Growing Together: Hands-on Gardening series with Urban Greens. This week’s topic: Grow Your Own Herbs.
– Ener-Chi and Chair Yoga will continue with videos until Megyn returns to teaching Monday classes.
• Tuesday:
– Stay Active & Thrive with Alexus from OSU Extension ended a week early, so there will be no class this Tuesday.
• Wednesday:
– Celebrate September birthdays with us during lunchtime, starting at 11 AM!
– Enjoy a performance by Barefoot McCoy.
– Pet Therapy with Miah begins at 11:45 AM.
– Fall Craft with Cindy (for those registered) begins at 12 PM.
• Thursday:
– Anne will lead arthritis exercise at 9:45 AM.
– Button Club meets at 11 AM.
– PERI will meet at 11:30 AM.
• Friday:
– Wear your favorite football team apparel for Football Friday!
– We’re launching a new Friday evening event: Jokers & Pairs for Mah Jongg lovers, beginning at 5 PM.
– Karaoke starts at 6 PM, with doors opening at 5 PM. Admission is $5, and the concession stand will be open.

Our Friends and staff celebrated by enjoying Dolly’s music and learning fun facts about her life, her legacy, and her incredible charitable work. Dolly has always inspired others through kindness, generosity, and joy — and we loved honoring her today.
We’re also excited to share that The Center has been selected for The Big Give!
