Hey churches — we know many of you are gearing up for VBS this summer! ☀️⛪

The Center for Community Services would love to be a recipient of your VBS mission project or food drive! Our pantry is always in need of our most requested food items to help local families in need throughout the Golden Strip community.

Want to include a hands-on mission activity during VBS? We also have service projects with items that can be pre-packed by children and volunteers during your week of VBS!

For more information, please contact Lisa Atwood at [email protected] or visit our website at centercs.com to view our most needed items list.

Thank you for helping us serve our neighbors in need! 💙💚

We are thankful for the GFWC Golden Strip Club and their members! Supporting our agency in so many ways to help with food insecurity.

For our May meeting our club members collected cans of beans to donate to the Center for Community Services for families needing help with food insecurity.

There is still time to vote today! Ends at 9pm tonight. Lucas needs your votes!

Lucas, local high school student, shared his talent with our agency. He painted a mural on the lobby wall of Building 7 that captured the Center for Community Services mission.

Today, CCS was honored to be invited to share our mission at Bosch Rexroth Family Day! 💙

A special thank you to our front desk receptionist, Lillian, and her husband for representing CCS today and helping spread awareness about the work we do in our community.

And according to Lillian… it was very hard not to bring home one of those adorable puppies! 🐶😊

What a busy (and beautiful!) spring at CCS! 🌸

We are so thankful for the many hands that have come together to serve our campus recently.

A big thank you to Hopewell United Methodist Church and their Grubby & Grace group for spending last Saturday with us painting the HVAC fences around Buildings 1, 2, 3, and 4. It’s amazing how much a fresh coat of paint can brighten up a space!

We were also blessed by a sweet young couple who reached out asking how they could serve—and then showed up ready to work! They finished raking around Building 6 and spruced up the front entrance of Building 7. What a gift their time and heart were to us.

And for the fourth time this school year, we had the joy of welcoming students from Southside Christian School - Middle School! They worked on a beautification project raking leaves in the center island between Buildings 1 and 3. We have truly enjoyed having these students on campus this year and hope to see them again next year!

We are incredibly grateful for each group and individual who chooses to serve alongside us. Your generosity and willingness to step in makes a lasting impact on our campus and the neighbors we serve every day. 💙

Our Volunteer Community Workday was a success! 💙💚

We had two amazing teams jump in and get to work across campus:

🍂 One team tackled a big project at Building 6—raking and clearing leaves that hadn’t been addressed in months
🪟 Another team worked hard cleaning windows (inside and out!) and refreshing windowsills in Buildings 3 and 4

Because of their efforts, our campus is cleaner, brighter, and more welcoming for everyone we serve.

We are so thankful for volunteers who give their time and energy to support our mission—it truly makes a difference!

We are incredibly grateful to Frank Crisp, Plant Manager at H.B. Fuller Company, and his amazing teams for their hard work and dedication to our campus!

On two consecutive Fridays, their teams came out to the Center for Community Services and made a huge impact through a campus beautification project. Fences surrounding the HVAC systems for Buildings 1, 2, 3, and 4 were power washed, and a landscaping project was also completed—leaving our campus looking refreshed and cared for.

Their time, effort, and willingness to serve truly make a difference for everyone who walks through our doors.

Thank you for helping us create a welcoming space for our community! 💙💚
