Sailors Give Back to Local Schools
Navy Region Mid-Atlantic and its installations provide plenty of opportunities to give back to our local communities!
This week, more than 400 #Sailors from Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads volunteered to help local teachers prepare for the new school year. Participating in volunteer programs like this provides an opportunity for Sailors to serve, protect, and support our nation as well as our communities.

Loss of Benefits
You know what's better than using marijuana?
Keeping your job, your GI Bill, VA benefits...need we say more?
The Navy is serious about their zero-tolerance policy when it comes to drug use. Many people are unaware of the far-reaching consequences of a military separation resulting from drug use. Watch the video below to learn more.
Marijuana Laws
Remember, as a military member, you work for the federal government. It's still illegal for military personnel to use marijuana even if you happen to be in a state where it is legal.
Bud, weed, dab, reefer, edibles – whatever name you want to call it – the use or possession of marijuana by uniformed service members is still illegal under federal law.
Watch the video below to learn more about how state marijuana laws apply to military members and federal employees.
