We will never forget.

Today we pause to remember the lives lost, honor the courage of the first responders and everyday heroes, and reflect on the resilience that united our nation on September 11, 2001.

A reminder that the Celebration of Life for Judge David William “Bill” Simpson is today, promptly at 2:55pm.

Those of us who appeared before Judge Simpson all have our stories. He was extraordinarily quick to process an argument, identify the issues and know the answer. He expected a lot from the lawyers who appeared before him: be prepared, know your case, and be punctual. With Judge Simpson, on time meant 8–10 minutes early.

And that grin. Those who knew him know exactly the one.

He left a lasting impression on the bench, the bar, and our community. Today is a fitting opportunity to remember him and share some of those great Judge Simpson stories.
