Happy to be part of the 3rd annual Juneteenth ride in Frisco. Great turnout. I expect this will grow substantially in the coming years.

Frisco Police Department, Frisco Fire Department and Frisco Independent School District will be conducting training at Wakeland and Heritage High Schools on Wednesday. Please see the below from FISD for additional information.
Frisco ISD Parents,
The Frisco police and fire departments will conduct an emergency training in collaboration with Frisco ISD this Wednesday, June 8. This will occur at Wakeland and Heritage high schools.
This event is part of our ongoing, collaborative efforts to help prepare our schools for emergency situations, and FISD has been planning the training in conjunction with Frisco PD and FD for more than a year. As a result, there will be an increased presence of first responders and emergency vehicles at the campuses. We emphasize, this is not an actual emergency.
Access to both campuses will be highly restricted during this time; we ask community members to please refrain from congregating around the high schools and to avoid these general areas during the day on Wednesday if possible.
Thank you for your understanding.

This was an incredible park. Felt much larger than it was because of a great layout. Absolutely stunning and got lots of ideas for Grand Park.
A short recap from last nights council meeting. I'm honored to have started my third and final term on Council. Its hard to believe its been 6 years already but I look forward to these next three and being able to serve the residents of Frisco for three more years.
Also, Congrats to Tammy Meinershagen on being official!
Lastly, watch the video for a little update on Exide and Grand Park.
May is Bike Month! We've got a lot going on this month but tomorrow we have 4 rides rolling out from 4 different areas of the city. First ones are at 10am. Check the website for more details.

Frisco Friends and Neighbors,
In a couple of weeks you'll be asked to elect three school board trustees for FISD. I believe Dustin Paschal for FISD is the right person for the job and ask that you join Laura Woodard and in supporting him. You can read more about why I support Dustin Paschal below.
If you've been around City Hall enough, you'll hear a constant refrain about the partnership between the City of Frisco and Frisco ISD. If you look at the best things we've done in Frisco in the last couple of decades, FISD is usually right alongside. Big marquee partnerships like PGA, The Star, and...

Welcome back from Spring Break!
This is a quick reminder that we have a special election going on right now. Early voting started last week, and turnout has been low. Please take a few minutes to swing by the pools and vote. It’ll take less time to vote than it will to park your car, I promise.
Please also join me in supporting Traci Shipman.
Frisco is moving into a new era and as we have progressed down that path and new challenges come into focus, I believe her experience is important for us moving forward.
I have known and worked with Tracie for over 15 years on a variety of projects in Frisco, and in fact was one of the first people I spoke with on CDC when I wanted to know more about Boards and Commissions after moving to Frisco I have great respect for her leadership and commitment to Frisco, for her vision for our city, and for her honest, no-nonsense approach to dealing with tough discussions and decisions.
Her combination of business experience as a change management and leadership coach, her work with organizations going through large-scale transitions (like Frisco is right now) and her 2+ decades of serving in Frisco make her my choice for the Place 5 City Council position.
Early Voting information is in the attached graphic.

Frisco friends and neighbors. I have been asked many times whom I support in the Place 5 Runoff. To date I’ve not made a public endorsement as I consider both candidates friends, however Frisco is moving into a new era and as we have progressed down that path and new challenges come into focus, I believe it is time.
I am supporting Tracie Shipman.

Most everyone knows that the City Council has a huge task in front of us as we select our 2nd City Manager. As I mentioned recently at an event, we cannot afford to get this wrong, we will not get this wrong.
We cannot drop the ball on how we support our staff and the rest of our community through this transition. Because of her background and experience, Tracie really is the best person for this council seat as we work though this important process and move into an exciting but unknown future.
I am personally looking forward to the times when she and I can have one of our vigorous, respectful debates and dig into topics where, at the end, we each expand our original thinking, learn from each other, and create an even better outcome for Frisco.
I can’t think of a better way to Keep Frisco On Track than to elect Tracie Shipman to Place 5 on the Frisco City Council!
Please join Laura and I as we cast our vote for Tracie.
Friends and Supporters.
I am proud, and fortunate, to say that I will have the privilege of serving the residents of Frisco for another three years. I did not draw an opponent for this election. It has been an absolute joy to work with the residents of Frisco for the last 12 years, 6 on council, and I am looking forward to all of the great things we will do in the coming three years. I would like to thank all of you for your support through the years and please continue to reach out, ask questions, and get engaged.
For those that were able to make the kickoff/celebration last Friday, thank you!!, I’ve included some photos from the event.
A special thank you to Suad Bejtovic Photography for helping us memorialize the event and to Emerson Band (https://www.facebook.com/emersonband) for providing the entertainment.
Laura and I thank you all!

Last night we recognized Black History Month; 3, yes 3, 20 year anniversaries with the Frisco Fire Department; The first responders that were directly responsible for rescuing a 15 year old from a house fire; and the CALEA Recertification of our Police Department and our 911 Call Center.
I could go on and on about all these great people, but there is a theme here.
We are great not because of one person or group, but because of ALL of our residents and staff.
Without all of these people we would not have received the CALEA certification several years ago. Its not easy to get, and there are only 3 fire departments in the entire state of Texas that have a certified police department and 911 call center. 3.
The standard that we hold ourselves to for training and providing support allows our officers and fire fighters to perform their jobs to the best of their abilities, their performance feeds back and allows us to continue to exceed industry standards. None of that would be possible without the assistance from IT, Engineering, Finance, Public Works and all the other groups that help operate the City on a day to day basis.
While the Council has always prioritized public safety, that support also comes from the residents, you. Without all of you none of this would be possible.
I'm proud to be part of this City and the extraordinary accomplishments we make happen.
Last week we wrapped our Winter Worksession. The coming 12 months will have a heavy internal focus especially as it relates to Employee Attraction, Retention and Engagement. The images show the top 10. As is normal, these are not in priority order, its simply our top 10 list.
Friends and Neighbors,
YOU’RE INVITED!!!!
Over the last week we’ve sent out evites for my re-election campaign kickoff. In today’s world of social media though I’ve realized I may not have accurate emails or phone numbers for everyone and evites also end up in SPAM, so I’m sharing the kickoff details here.
Laura and I would love to see as many of our friends and supporters as we can. The event will be mix and mingle for about an hour, short comments about 7pm, and live entertainment after that. We will have food and drinks for everyone as well.
We look forward to seeing you Friday!
February 18, 2022 @ 6pm - 9pm : Please join us for an evening of refreshments and mingling in support for our friend and Frisco City Councilman Bill Woodard for his 2022 re-election campaign.Bill ...
It was cold and windy, but a great time nonetheless celebrating Asian Lunar New Year.
Please take a few minutes to watch the video link for this event. Our first responders do an incredible job every day. Its not often that we get to see a first hand point of view of an event. This young man was rescued moments before the fire engulfed the area where our first responders were working. This is just one reason why we place so much emphasis on supporting our police and fire and ensuring they have the best tools and training available to do their jobs.
Also, if you have a 2 story home there are rescue ladders that can be purchased that would allow an occupant to climb out the window and down to the first floor. Please look into purchasing those for every room with an upstairs window, and store them on the floor. Thank you Frisco Fire Department and Frisco Police Department.

One of our top 10 priorities this year was reinvestment in our City. The reinvestment in these parks is just a small, but very noticeable, piece of that strategy. These and other improvements keep our City strong and a desirable place to be.

This morning I filed my paperwork for re-election to Frisco City Council Place 4. The last 5 years have been an honor serving the citizens of Frisco. Frisco is an amazing city and we've done a lot of incredible things but we cannot take our eye off the ball. We still have work to do in building out the northern parts of our City, but just as importantly we are in a transition phase where we must be reinvesting in the aging areas as well. I look forward to continuing to meet with the residents over the coming months and discussing plans for the future. If you'd like to know more about me please check out my website, or message me.
