I spent my senior year on the high school debate team researching and arguing for a plan to mine the moon for tritium (H3) to create nuclear fusion. Thirty-three years later there is a plan being put together to do just that. It's interesting how crazy ideas sometimes become reality.

Nearly a decade ago, Congress passed a law that allows private American space companies the rights to resources they mine on celestial bodies, including the moon.. Now a company has said it wants to take advantage of that law.
