📣Employee Spotlight 📣
Case Manager, Selina Rodriguez, has been with Fresno EOC for 4 1/2 years. She first started working at the Transitional Shelter then moved over to the Outreach Team and now works in housing with Project PHoenix clients. She says she loves assisting people with their everyday needs and being able to advocate for her clients is what she loves most about her job. One thing on her bucket list is to travel to Japan 🎌🏯 with her family. She is a coffee ☕ person, likes salty snacks 🍿🍟and prefers the beach 🏖️ over the mountains 🏜️.

Administrative Assistant III, Anita Ponce, has been with Fresno EOC for 19 years helping Sanctuary's Homeless Services and Central Valley Against Human Trafficking. She loves to help others and make a positive impact in the community. On her bucket list is to take a family vacation to Japan. A fun fact that no one really knows is that she was an extra in Ricky Martin's "Livin' La Vida Loca" music video 🎶. She loves sweet 🍫and salty 🍿 snacks and refers to it as swalty ☺️.

Navigator Jean-Pierrer Montes has worked with Fresno EOC since February 2025 providing street-based outreach and navigation in Fresno and Madera counties. He says, "I love being able to be that change in anyone's life whether its small or big." Some fun facts: he produces his own beats 🎶🎧 for family & friends; he likes to list to records; his first job was at Taco Bell 🌮🌯; and he is athletic and can run a lap in 56 seconds.

Please help us find Ashton Sklar Bencoma. Ashton is 22 years old and was last seen on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 8:00 AM, in the area of Santa Clara Street and F Street.
Ashton stands at 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 275 pounds. Ashton has collar-length, straight, brown hair and brown eyes. Ashton was last seen wearing a black shirt, red shorts, and black shoes. He is not currently wearing his prescription glasses.

Last night we learned of the recent passing of former Fresno EOC Foster Grandparents Margaret Vargas. Those who knew her referred to her as Grandma Margaret. She was 94 years old and served with the program and was at the Sanctuary Youth Shelter from 2001 until it's closure. She will truly be missed.

Shelter Services Coordinator Samm Wood has worked with Fresno EOC since 2021 and works directly with our Transitional Aged Youth. She says that "she loves that her role supports youth during an important stage of life." Some fun facts: she writes poetry 📝, she likes to hike and do yoga 🧘‍♀️, and her first job was at Subway 🥪.
