Hey villagers… we are a short 2.5 weeks away from the Consolidated Election.

I’m happy to announce I am running as a WRITE-IN candidate for the position of Village Trustee (yes, again).

What does that mean?

My name wont appear on the ballot, but there is an option to write a candidate in. I am the only option for write in, no othered name can be submitted at this time.

Please circle the bubble for ”write-in” and simply write “WILLIAM LUCHSINGER” in the blank.

You are allowed to bring your phone, computer, notes, whatever you need to the voting booth. So simply bookmark this, and spell the name, as best you can.

If you are looking for a location with air conditioning to get out of the heat, Village Hall (106 N. Elm) will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. both today (Thursday, July 18, 2019) and tomorrow (Friday, July 19, 2019).

Another partnership from our Village and a local business. I'm proud to say I was able to assist with getting this accomplished. Please come out and get relaxed and seek the benefits of yoga in our park.

Yoga in the Park starts next Saturday June 15th!

This will be FREE to the community, every Saturday at 9AM, all summer long through September. (you do not have to be a Fitness Junction member to participate)

If weather does not cooperate, yoga will be held at Fitness Junction.

Thanks to the Village of Davis Junction for supporting this event and making it happen ;)

At tonight's Village Board meeting we will be swearing in the newly elected Village Trustees as well as saying goodbye to Trustee Jason Grimes. Jason has served on the Village Board for 10 years and has accomplished many projects that have benefited our residents. Please consider joining us tonight at 7PM as we say thank you and goodbye to Jason.

Now that the election is over it is time to continue the work....

Currently, I have been in negotiations with the Orchard Hills Landfill as they wish to rewrite the current agreement and possible expansion. I, we will hold them accountable and we will settle for nothing less then what our residents and community deserve.

There is nothing fancy or flashy about the Consolidated Election (that's tomorrow by the way). It does not have the publicity or exposure that the Primary or General Elections have. However, there is no other election that your single vote has more meaning or direct impact on then the Consolidated Election.

This election is for your local leaders at the Village or City, School District, College District, and more. Think about that, and compare that to your tax bill. These villages and districts account for the vast majority of your tax bill and how your money is spent. So please do not think this election is not important because it single-handedly has the most impact on your life.
