After 4 years in Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, TEXAS and her crew completed sea trials yesterday ahead of schedule. The crew has spent the last several months burning the midnight oil to ensure the ship's early return to service. The crew successfully tested the ship to her limits the last week, and returned the mighty USS TEXAS to the fleet. I am proud of the crew and all they have accomplished during the last 20 months I have been onboard, and I look forward to spending time at sea with this amazing crew. -TEX COB sends!!

After just over 3 years (1079 days total) in dry dock at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, USS TEXAS and her crew perform a successful undocking and berth shift on Feb 21, 2024. More pictures to follow in the coming weeks.

Vice Admiral Gaucher, Commander, Naval Submarine Forces; Commander, Submarine Force, U.S. Atlantic Fleet; Commander, Allied Submarine Command presented the 2023 Battle "E" to the crew of USS TEXAS on Feb 13, 2024, commending the crew on thier outstanding accomplishments. During his address to the crew, he preseted a coin to ETN2 Chrostopher Detore for his exceptional knowledge of the watchstanding principles.
