Two new MILPER messages (26-182 & 26-183) were released detailing the Army Temporary (Brevet) Promotion Program and the annual review of the Critical Position List (CPL).

Use IPPS-A as your central hub for ex*****on:

Position Data: Commands requesting to add a new CPL position must pull the exact IPPS-A Position Number to ensure accurate manning documents.

Nominations: Units must submit a Personnel Action Request (PAR) for brevet nominations directly through IPPS-A to route to the HRC Brevet Team.

Slating & Tracking: Officers must be slated against the CPL position in IPPS-A. The system tracks the PAR status and validates the officer's arrival.

The official release of the AC and AGR Senior and Junior Enlisted By-Name Promotion Lists for August 2026 are now available. Congratulations on your promotion!

Within IPPS-A, approvals must be submitted NLT the 26th of the month. If approvals have not been submitted by the NLT date, the Soldier will not appear on the Promotion Recommended Roster (PRR) and will not get promoted.

Please remember, promotions will reflect in IPPS-A and promotion orders will be available on the effective date of the promotion.

Attention Soldiers and Army HR Professionals!

MILPER Message 26-180 (Update #3) brings an important update to how a Soldier's Home of Record (HOR) can be verified.

The Soldier Talent Profile (STP) within IPPS-A is now officially recognized as an authoritative source document for verifying a Member's HOR, effective immediately.

Whether you are verifying your information for routine administrative purposes or submitting a request to correct an erroneous HOR, your IPPS-A STP can now be used as official proof. This update continues to streamline Army HR processes and reduces the need to hunt down older, legacy documents.
