Message from SPEC:
We are hosting the 2024-2025 Back-to-School Initiative webcast. Stakeholder Partnerships, Education and Communications (SPEC) will provide information to help parents of young children and college students understand the tax credits (Child Tax Credit, Additional Child Tax Credit, Earned Income Tax Credit, etc.) and benefits they may be eligible to claim when they file a tax return.
We will also raise awareness of free tax preparation available at Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) and Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) sites. Please register using the link below and mark your calendars to join our virtual Back-to-School Symposium!

Summer Parent Huddle: Autism Support (VCU-ACE) on July 22
Parents are invited to join the Autism Center for Education's (ACE) Parent Huddle to learn about strategies and resources to improve communication this summer. Parent Huddles are intended to share information and helpful resources from ACE as well as hear from parents about their needs and questions. This virtual meeting is free and open to all who interact with early learners through high-school students.

This spring, CBPS School Board approved a request to dedicate the Patricia FitzGerald Field softball field dugouts in honor of beloved Coach Fred Dodge. The dedication was initially scheduled to kickoff the CBHS Softball Alumni Game, but Mother Nature had other plans…
With that said, please join the CBPS team as we dedicate the Patricia FitzGerald Field softball dugouts to our beloved Fred Dodge on May 22nd at 5pm.
While we realize this might be short notice, this was the day and time that worked best for Fred’s son and loved ones.

Colonial Beach High School is aiming to end the school year on a high note with SOL Incentives & Spirit Days! CBHS students received testing schedules today. Students who are not testing have a 2 hour delay on testing dates, students who are testing arrive at normal time. Friday 12/8 MATH = Algebra I, II, and Geometry Tuesday 12/12 READING = 11th graders currently enrolled in E11 Wednesday 12/13 HISTORY = World Geography, World History I, US/VA History Thursday 12/14 SCIENCE = Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry
