Congratulations to our alum Andrea Lee on her appointment to the Arkansas Tech University Board of Trustees. Her dedication to service and leadership makes this recognition especially meaningful. We are thrilled to see her continuing to make an impact.

Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders has appointed Andrea Lea of Russellville to a five-year term on the Arkansas Tech University Board of Trustees.

Lea succeeds Bill Clary of Conway, who completed his five-year term on the ATU Board of Trustees on Jan. 14, 2026. Clary served as chair of the ATU Board of Trustees during the 2025 calendar year.

Lea’s five-year term will expire on Jan. 14, 2031.

“Mrs. Lea has a significant track record of commitment to and care for her alma mater,” said Dr. Russell Jones, ATU president. “She is a dedicated public servant, and we look forward to working with her for the betterment of Arkansas Tech. We also express our appreciation to Mr. Clary for his five years of service and his outstanding stewardship of Arkansas Tech in the role of trustee.”

Arkansas Tech University will be closed Monday due to winter weather. Please prioritize safety, monitor official university communications, and avoid unnecessary travel ❄️

Due to inclement weather and hazardous driving conditions, all campuses of Arkansas Tech University will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26.

There will be no in-person classes, no virtual classes and no virtual operations. Some essential operations, including food service, public safety and facilities management, will remain available in order to serve residential students on the Russellville campus.

Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to check arkansastechnews.com as well as local media outlets for any further updates regarding weather-related closings at Arkansas Tech.

Winter weather remains a very real possibility but its way to early to get into the specifics. This is just a friendly reminder to get your information from a reliable and trusted source, especially as we get closer to the event.
