At the Women’s Center of East Texas, we’re proud to be among the 12% of domestic violence shelters nationwide that provide accommodations for pets. We know survivors shouldn’t have to choose between their own safety and leaving a beloved family member behind.

When survivors come to our shelter, they can bring their pets with them—because safety and healing should include the whole family. 💜

Supporting survivors of family or s*xual violence can come in many different forms. Healing is not linear and there is no one size fits all model.

Supporting a survivor includes allowing them to make choices for themselves, listening when they tell you uncomfortable things, allowing them to grieve, and most importantly believing them when they decide to share vulnerable information with you.

Our parking lots at the Women's Center of East Texas Longview office and Hope's Closet – Wal Street are under construction this week!

We're OPEN and ready to serve you! 💜

Please note: We are unable to accept donations at our Wal Street Hope's Closet location this week due to the construction.
