📍Amendment #4: Inventory Tax

As early voting begins for May 16, we're breaking down each constitutional amendment.

This measure would allow local governments to voluntarily eliminate or reduce the property tax on business inventory, with state funding to help offset the loss.

Supporters cite economic competitiveness and tax reform. Opponents point to the importance of this revenue in some parishes.

Leaders for a Better Louisiana supports this amendment as a voluntary option for local governments.
