Earlier this week, a young woman stopped by Connections For Life simply to share this beautiful piece of artwork with us as a gesture of appreciation. 💙

She was never a participant in our programs and never worked with our team directly — just someone who came across our organization, felt a connection to our mission, and wanted to spread kindness in her own creative way.

Moments like this remind us that compassion, community, and purpose truly reach farther than we sometimes realize. We are incredibly touched by her thoughtfulness and honored that our mission resonated with her in such a meaningful way.

What a beautiful piece of artwork, and an even more beautiful reminder of the impact simple human connection can make. ✨

We had a great conversation about our journey, what we’re building, and how inspiring our new space has been for our team and community. The energy of the new environment has already sparked so much creativity, collaboration, and momentum, and it was great to reflect on that during the episode.

Grateful for the opportunity to share our story and excited for what’s ahead.

In the month of March, joins the nation in recognizing Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. At the March 17 meeting, City Council celebrated the observance with an official proclamation presented to Connections for Life. Executive Director Samantha Wilhite accepted the proclamation on the organization's behalf.

The 2026 national campaign "We're Here: Then, Now, Always," led by the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities, highlights a simple truth: people with developmental disabilities have always been part of our communities and will continue to be an essential part of our shared future.

We invite our community to take this time to honor the abilities, talents and contributions of individuals with developmental disabilities.

We’ve been a little quiet on here lately—but only because the past couple of weeks have been filled with some amazing moments 💙

We partnered with the Fairfield Suisun Chamber of Commerce and Valley Strong Credit Union for our March Mixer in recognition of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month and the power of inclusive community partnerships.

We were also honored to receive funds raised from the 2025 Holly Jolly Mixer Dessert Auction—thank you to everyone who made that possible!

And yesterday, Connections For Life received a proclamation from the Suisun City Mayor Alma Hernandez in recognition of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month.

We’re so grateful for the support of our community!
