The Tour de Houston Presented by Apache Corporation is this Sunday, February 26th! This year, a good portion of the ride will come through the East End and District I. The ride begins and ends at City Hall with route options of 20, 40 and 60 miles. Register to ride at TourDeHouston.org, and chose to ride with me and members of my council staff by selecting the โ€œCoH Council District Iโ€ team during registration.

Proceeds benefit the Houston Parks and Recreation Department.

Residents will soon be able to cross Blossom by utilizing pedestrian refuges where the medians are and with additional traffic calming measures to slow down vehicles traveling along Westcott.
