We were honored to host and attend an inspiring discussion on the Slow Food Movement and the ongoing work of the University of Gastronomic Sciences (UNISG).
Hearing from Daniele Ceratto, Lorenzo Scarpone, Dr. Raymond Isola, alumni of UNISG, and other leaders in the field highlighted the importance of biodiversity, sustainability, and food culture in shaping future generations.
Thank you to the organizers and speakers for fostering meaningful dialogue around food, community, and education.

🇮🇹 Riccio Grants Across the Bay Area
Italian Community Services is proud to support the Italian program at Lowell High School, San Francisco's oldest public high school and the only one offering Italian language instruction.
Thanks to a Riccio Grant awarded this winter, 146 students participated in an unforgettable field trip to Castello di Amorosa, where they had the opportunity to experience Italian culture beyond the classroom.
For many students, it was their first visit to an Italian restaurant. One student shared:
"It was the best day of my life because I never had a chance to eat in an Italian restaurant before."
Moments like these remind us that supporting Italian language education is about more than learning vocabulary and grammar—it is about creating meaningful experiences, inspiring curiosity, and building lasting cultural connections.

We are honored to help Lowell continue its legacy of academic excellence while making Italian language and culture accessible to the next generation.

What a fun evening supporting our dear friends at the Museo Italo-Americano! 🇮🇹✨

Our executive Director Vyria was honored to be paired with fellow San Francisco Little Italy Honor Walk Board Member Gina Von Esmarch as a guest chef for last night’s pasta competition at STEM Kitchen & Garden. It was a fantastic night filled with great food, wonderful company, and a shared passion for celebrating Italian culture and community.
Thank you to everyone who made the event so memorable. Looking forward to the next one! 🍝❤️
