Michigan WIC has updated income guidelines, and more Michigan families may now qualify for benefits.
Under the updated WIC income eligibility guidelines, a family of four can now qualify with an annual income of up to $61,050, an increase of more than $1,500.

🎒📚 HDC’s Back-to-School Bash is almost here!

Our team is working hard to sort supplies, pack backpacks, and prepare to welcome families at three upcoming HDC Back-to-School Bash events across the Thumb area!

Hundreds of backpacks are filled with school supplies will be given away at each event, along with games, activities, community resources, and plenty of back-to-school fun.

We’re also excited to welcome Joell’s Face Painting & More, who will be offering:
🎨 Face painting
🎈 Balloon twisting
✨ Hair tinsel
💎 Glitter tattoos

📍 Bad Axe City Park
Tuesday, August 4 | 1–3 PM

📍 Diamond Trail in Sandusky
Thursday, August 6 | 1–3 PM

📍 Cramton Park in Lapeer
Tuesday, August 11 | 1–3 PM

No registration is required. Students must be present to receive a backpack and school supplies. Supplies are limited and will be distributed while quantities last.

These events are planned and hosted by Human Development Commission, with the support of our generous donors and community partners. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped us prepare to serve local students!
