Firefly Children and Family Alliance recognizes the inherent value of all individuals. For more than 185 years, we’ve helped Hoosiers overcome hardship. Over the years, our organization combined forces with other nonprofits to broaden our reach and make a larger impact. In 2021, Children’s Bureau and Families First, two of Central Indiana’s most respected nonprofits, merged to become Firefly Children and Family Alliance. Our programs and services include child abuse prevention, home-based services, youth placement and recovery services.

We were so excited for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony at our new office in Terre Haute! This expansion was made possible through the generous support and funding provided by United Way of the Wabash Valley.

Tina Cloer, CEO of Firefly, expressed, "We are deeply committed to serving this community and supporting families during times of need."

We’re proud to share that Firefly Children & Family Alliance has been selected as a 2026 Kicking The Stigma Community Action Grant recipient! 💙

The $25,000 grant will support Firefly’s Teaching-Family Model Behavioral Health Workforce Development Initiative, strengthening clinical staff training, continuing education, and resources to better support the children and families we serve.

We’re grateful to Kicking The Stigma for investing in Indiana organizations working to strengthen mental health services and improve outcomes for children and families. Thank you Kicking the Stigma!

Thank you to the many, many individuals, groups, and companies that have provided donations over the past several days. They have been vital to our efforts to support needs of families in Indiana affected by flooding.

The greatest need now is cleaning supplies, including heavy duty trash bags, gloves, water-proof boots, buckets, etc. We have received a significant amount of diapers, wipes, and bottled water.

We are continuing to disperse donations to our affected communities and sincerely appreciate the swift response. ✨

This informal session is a comfortable space to learn about the foster care licensing process with Firefly Children & Family Alliance in Indiana, ask questions, and talk through any concerns you may have.

Books build confidence, strengthen reading skills, spark curiosity, and give kids a chance to get lost in a great story.

We're so grateful to Ticket to Dream Foundation and PaperPie who partnered to help get books into the hands of the foster youth we serve.

These stories will help kids keep up with summer reading, discover new adventures, and inspire big imaginations. 💙
