On Saturday, June 7, join Fair Oaks Fire and Rescue Volunteers for Save a Life Saturday to learn life-saving skills to help your family, neighbors and community. Safety demonstrations will teach you hands-only CPR, how to be Stroke Smart, how to Stop the Bleed, and how to call 9-1-1.

Over the weekend, Fair Oaks was part of the Community Risk Reduction effort to install smoke detectors in homes this weekend. Teams from Fairfax County career staff, volunteers and CERT canvassed the Pen Daw Estates Trailer Homes and installed alarms in ~60 homes.

🌟Did you know PJ Day is March 8th!🌟

On Saturday, March 8, FOVFR’s next door neighbor, Bruster’s Real Ice Cream Fairfax, will be celebrating PJ Day by partnering with Comfort Cases to give a free small waffle cone to customers who donate NEW PAJAMAS!🍦🌟

Check out Bruster’s for more details, bring some PJs, and come out to support a great cause. You might just see members of your local volunteer fire company from Fair Oaks Volunteer Fire and Rescue paying a visit as well!

🌟 PJ Day is March 8th! 🌟

There are two ways to enjoy a FREE small waffle cone on March 8th! 🍦💖
1️⃣ Visit Bruster’s dressed in pajamas AND/OR
2️⃣ Donate new pajamas (infant-adult XXL) to help youth in foster care.

We celebrate PJ Day each year to show our appreciation for our customers. 💕 This year, we’re partnering again with Comfort Cases as an opportunity to give back and make a positive impact in our local community! aims to eliminate the demoralizing practice of giving children trash bags by providing backpacks known as “Comfort Cases®” filled with comfort and personal care items. 🎒 Through our partnership, we will collaborate with our communities to provide local youth in foster care with pajamas of their very own as part of their Comfort Cases. 🫶

Let’s make this year even more impactful! See you in your PJs! 🌙
