Your health matters. đź’™ We will continue to advocate for improved access to and quality of mental health and substance use services. Let's take care of ourselves and each other.

Yesterday's passage of H.R. 1, the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act," will have a devastating impact on America's healthcare system, stripping health insurance from more than 17 million Americans by cutting Medicaid and driving up the cost of health plans for working families.

Our organizations remain committed to protecting and expanding access to mental health and substance use disorder care. Our fight is not over, and we are united in our effort to ensure that every American has the care and coverage they need to thrive.

🚨 Contact your Representatives NOW: House to vote on budget bill TOMORROW morning, 7/2!

Last month, the House passed a bill proposing deep cuts to Medicaid, and we fought back. The new Senate bill, which passed today, makes even more devastating cuts to Medicaid than the House’s. With President Trump’s July 4 deadline quickly approaching, our fight for Medicaid is more important than ever.

Medicaid is a bedrock of the public mental health system. This isn't about politics – it's about ensuring people can access life-saving mental health and substance use care when they need it most.

This bill:

- Will take Medicaid coverage away from more than 200,000 Kentuckians.

- Would close 35 rural hospitals in Kentucky and threaten many others.

- Would close Medicaid beds in Kentucky nursing homes.

- Would cause 47,000 Kentuckians to lose marketplace coverage and 53,000 to pay more to keep coverage.

- Makes harmful cuts to SNAP (food stamps) affecting 562,000 Kentuckians.

- Requires more funding from KY state general funds for safety net programs as federal funding is slashed.

Swipe to understand what's happening, why it matters, and how YOUR voice can make a difference TODAY. Then take 5 minutes to contact your Representatives.
