Cook County Clerk Karen A. Yarbrough office closing early due to holiday:
La oficina de registro vitales cierra temprano Hoy:
Why aren't the suburban vital records locations open? If the one downtown is open why aren't the other ones? This is incredibly frustrating as a taxpayer.
Attention Cook County Vital Records Customers: The Cook County Vital Records suburban office locations will be temporarily closed on Monday, December 27.
Any Vital Records needs can be fulfilled online at cookcountyclerk.com/vitals or at the downtown office located at 118 N. Clark St., Room 120, Chicago, IL 60602.
Locally, vital records can be obtained at the Berwyn Township/Public Health District Building, located at 6600 W. 26th Street (East Avenue and 26th street) during their normal operating business hours. Phone number: 708-788-6600.

I want to print a deed from your website. I am just a regular person trying to print a copy of my deed. Do I need a computer science degree in order to do that? I have attempted to set up an account. Why is your website making it so difficult to do this?
Christmas in Proviso Township was a huge success! Christmas in the Wards has expanded to Suburban Cook County starting in Proviso!
Thank you Speaker Emanuel "Chris" Welch for working with Larry Huggins and Alderman Michelle A. Harris to bring this special event to Proviso.
State Senator Kimberly A. Lightford, Commissioner Brandon Johnson, Cook County Clerk Karen A. Yarbrough, Mayor Katrina Thompson, Mayor Rory Hoskins - Forest Park, Bellwood Mayor Andre Harvey, Mayor Tamburino, Mayor Serpico along with myself were able to partner with Proviso Leyden Council for Community Action, Inc - PLCCA, Black Men United and so many sponsors to ensure our residents were able to experience Christmas Joy.
I am curious about the status of my notary application with Cook County. It was processed in Maywood on 12-5-21 and I still have not heard anything. No one answers the phone at Cook County, no Maria Velazquez, no voicemails can be left, no one is answering the phone at Maywood and the automated phone system is sub par at best. How does one get any answers? Is there an actual human being who will answer the phone and point me in the right direction please?
Hello Ms. Yarbrough - I have been trying to contact someone in the Domestic Relations Division to receive a copy of a document for 11.5 weeks. I have called Customer Relations, Ms. Lorie Garner and Mr. Edward Conway, have left several messages with each and have not received a callback from anyone. Could you please let me know why no one is available to answer their phones, including your main office line? I have tried calling repeatedly, for weeks, as well as sending emails to which I have also not gotten a response since November 22nd. Thank you.
I am excited to share that I have been Elected to serve on the Board of Directors for the National League of Cities!!! This will be the first time in the organizations nearly 100 years that a representative from Suburban Cook County has a seat on the board.
I would like to thank the Illinois Municipal League, Metropolitan Mayors Caucus, Congressman Danny K. Davis, Senate Majority Leader State Senator Kimberly A. Lightford, Cook County Clerk Karen A. Yarbrough, and Commissioner Brandon Johnson for your letters of endorsement. I look forward to bringing home some great wins to the Village of Maywood and sharing opportunities with Cook County and beyond as we Reclaim, Renew and Reimagine our communities.
Another fun week campaigning in Cook County! Spending some time with Cook County Clerk Karen A. Yarbrough at the Quarterly Meeting of the Proviso Municipal League & the Mayors of the Western Suburbs. An “animal” bar-themed night with Alderman Jason C. Ervin at the Billy Goat Tavern and with Committeeman Tim Egan at the Rabbit Hole. Breakfast (and a live band) with State Rep. Bob Rita. It was also great talking with the judicial evaluation committees of the 47th Ward Democrats and Lyons Township Democratic Organization (especially Ginger, Lyons unofficial mascot). Finally, Sunday with the Democratic Party of Evanston and my husband, Paul Ruffino, who made a new friend, Speaker Emanuel "Chris" Welch!
This morning we hosted the Annual 7th District Veterans Breakfast.
Thank you to Congressman Chuy García, State Senator Celina Villanueva, State Rep Theresa Mah, State Representative Aarón M. Ortíz, and State Representative Edgar Gonzalez Jr. for joining us in fellowship to honor and salute veterans for their sacrifices, bravery and dedication in serving our country.
In addition to a delicious breakfast, the event featured color guard by Farragut Career Academy and resources by The Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs, Cook County Veterans Affairs, Chicago Park District, Cook County Assessor's Office, and Cook County Clerk Karen A. Yarbrough.
Ms. Yarbrough, can you please let us know how to reach a customer service person to check the status of our order for Death Certificates? No one answers your telephones, no one responds to email, no one returns any voicemail messages. Thank you.
