The US National Weather Service Saint Louis Missouri has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Madison County, MO effective until 7pm.
We are an all volunteer department with 20 members covering a 10 square mile area.

On Tuesday afternoon, The Fredericktown Fire Department responded to residential fire on Madison 201 with initial reports of a person still inside the residence. When firefighters arrived they found a working fire but all residents were out of the home. Crews began an aggressive interior attack and brought the fire under control. Cherokee Pass Fire Protection District also responded to assist with manpower and to provide a water supply. We appreciate their assistance along with Madison County 911 , Madison County Sheriff's Department, Madison County Ambulance District and BREC. No injuries were reported

Update 10 AM Highway 72 bypass from OO to the round-a-bout is re-opened 
630am. Highway 72 Bypass is closed from OO to the round-a-bout due to a motor vehicle accident. Please stay clear of the area. Will advise when it is open.
At approximately 9pm Sunday night, the Fredericktown Fire Department was dispatched to a working residential fire in the 900 blk of Marlowe Street. Upon arrival firefighters found a single story residence nearly fully envolved in fire. Additionally, 2 vehicles near the front of the residence were also involved. Crews began an aggressive fire attack with 2 hose lines and quickly brought the fire under control. Damage to the home was significant, fortunately no injuries occurred. We appreciate the assistance from Madison County Ambulance District, Madison County 911, Fredericktown Police Department, BREC, and the City Electric Department.

Late last night the Fredericktown Fire Department was dispatched to brush/rubbish Fire in the 900 blk of High Street. This fire was set and left unattended. It is also not currently burn season in the City of Fredericktown. A big congratulations to Firefighter/Paramedic Brandon Naucke. He successfully completed his Firefighter I and II certification along with the Hazardous Marerials Operations level certification. Firefighter Naucke has 3 years of service with our department.
Members of the Fredericktown Fire Department spent the afternoon doing some PR. It's always a great time cooling off our friends at the Fredericktown Elementary School!
Every afternoon at summer school, we have a fun activity to end the day and get some energy out. Today, the Fredericktown Fire Department brought their ladder truck and cooled off our students with a little water!

Groundbreaking Complete ✅️
Earlier, we joined the City of Fredericktown, MO officials, DILLE POLLARD Architecture, and Brockmiller Construction Incorporated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Fredericktown Fire Station. The new station will be just over 9,000 sqft and include modern sized pull through apparatus bays, a new meeting space, a day room/kitchen, locker rooms, and office space. The facility will sit next to the existing apparatus bays which will be remodeled to match the new station. Currently projections are for the work to be complete in early 2024. We cannot thank our community enough for the support through the Prop P sales tax measure which made this project possible.
Join us tomorrow morning as we break ground to celebrate the beginning of construction for the new Fredericktown Fire Station. The event begins at 10am and will be held at 202 West College Ave. We hope to see you there!

**Parade Update**:
Due to developing rain and thunderstorms the parade start time has been moved to 3pm.
Your Fredericktown Firefighters spent Sunday morning washing and waxing the fleet for the Azalea Festival Parade later this afternoon. This is an annual tradition to keep our trucks looking sharp. Additionally, this is the last year we will be doing this in our current station as construction on the new Fredericktown Fire Station will begin in the coming days. See everyone at the parade!
**Incident is cleared**
Fredericktown Fire Department is currently working the scene of a vehicle accident on Hwy OO at Village Creek Road. The roadway is being cleared at this time. Traffic will return to normal within 20 minutes.
At noon Saturday, Fredericktown Fire Department was dispatched for a residential fire on the 300blk of E. College Ave. Firefighters arrived on scene to find a working kitchen fire. Fortunately, a bystander began putting water on the fire with a garden hose before crews arrived on scene which greatly minimized the fires growth. No injuries occurred to the residents or pets. We appreciate the assistance from Madison County 911 , Madison County Ambulance District, and the Fredericktown Police Department.

Today Fredericktown Fire Department assisted in the judging of the Fredericktown High School JROTC Raider Meet at the FFPCC Training Site. Seven teams from six schools from Missouri, Kansas, Mississippi and Illinois participated in this event. It is always our pleasure to do this event. The participants are always respectful and appreciative of the facilities. Thank you for the opportunity.
Annual fire hose testing is complete ✅
️Recently, Fire Catt completed testing on over 12,000ft of our departments fire hose. By using Fire Catt for our fire hose testing we free up weeks of valuable training time over the summer months. Once again, we appreciate Cap America for the use of their lot to accomplish the testing.

**WARNING CANCELED** A Tornado Warning has been issued for very far Southeastern Madison County. There is currently no Tornado threat to the City of Fredericktown. Locations impacted include rural areas south of Marquand and Cascade, MO.

Fredericktown Fire Department responds to two fire related incidents-
During the afternoon hours on Thursday, a working residential fire was reported in the 700 blk of North Mine La Motte Ave. Firefighters quickly contained and extinguished the fire resulting in minimal damage. Later in the evening hours, a vehicle fire was reported on Hwy OO south of the Fredericktown Regional Airport. No injuries occurred at either incident.
Severe weather is likely this afternoon into this evening. Stay weather aware today and have a way to receive severe weather watches/warnings.
A Flood Warning is in effect for Madison County until 7pm. The next round of rain and thunderstorms is beginning now. An additional 1-2 inches of rainfall is expected throught the afternoon hours. Please avoid driving through flooded roadways. Turn around, don't drown!
