HM-15’s First Class Petty Officer Association is hosting a Children’s Easter Party on April 8th! Children of all ages are welcome to attend. There will be food, desserts, a bounce house, egg hunt, and of course, The Easter Bunny! We ask that members please sign up to better assist the FCPOA in preparing for the event. Signup sheets can be found on the Quarter Deck and AMCM Maintenance Control. We hope to see you there!

On Friday June 17th, 2022 HM-15 held their annual Spring Picnic.
The Blackhawks voted for which members got dunked into the tank, no one made it out dry!
The picnic included many activities for the families as well!

HM-15 held a Children’s Christmas party today, it included a bouncy house, a bubble wrap course, balloon animals and other various activities!
As well as, Santa!! One of our birds flew all the way to the North Pole to pick up Santa so he could say hello to the kids!

From one Blackhawk to another, Happy Veterans Day. Stay safe and God Bless.
Good day, good evening to all of you of HM-15.
I just wanted to tell you all I am very happy to see this squadron exists still.
I am a plank owner of this squadron. I in fact happen to be the designer of your Blackhawks logo. I was an E3 in the Mark 105 shop. My Leutenant Mr. Larson asked me to design a logo for us and in fact our very first deployment. Our cherry DET.
This was way back before most of you were born. Originally HM-12 was out of Norfolk. We were out of N.A.S. Alameda. In northern California.
I didnt know what happened to my squadron once they shut down Alameda. It was very sad to see that base turn into nothing. I remember it being alive. I was there for 3 years.
We went to the Med Sea during Desert Storm and I was a LSE.
I deployed on one wespack and a show of force in South Korea on the USS Tripoli.
That was back in the day when the Soviet Union existed. We were actually escourted out of Soviet waters by two fast cans and a Russian Bear above us. We were trying to avoid a storm at sea. They didnt appreciate us being just a few miles from their shores. Lol.
Anyway, it is good for the heart to see my squadron is still doing the job and as professionally as it is possible. I see your battle e awards and your pilots flying, and your warfare training, your mine countermeasures, frocking and it makes me proud.
You are all great men and women. Thank you for your service in the best squadron to ever occupy both coasts like a boss.

My father served as a Crew Chief in HM-15 from 1992-1995 in Alameda. I am proud to say that I will also be serving in the same command as a Chief, checking in in December of this year!
I had the distinct pleasure of meeting and interacting with your skipper this weekend as part of the AMCM reunion, and I will tell you that he's a great one to have as a skipper!...Thanx again, Ty, for all you did to make our reunion a success!
