The Medal of Honor is our nation’s highest military decoration and is awarded for “conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of life above and beyond the call of duty.” On March 25th, the PORTER crew came together to celebrate Medal of Honor Day, and to learn about some of those individuals who earned this award.

🦅🚨CHAMPION OF THE WEEK🚨🦅HM3 Greene is recognized as this week’s Champion of the Week for her outstanding performance as our flight deck corpsman, guaranteeing the safety of PORTER’s crew and various helicopter crews while they conducted well over 100 bounces last week. As our CPR instructor HM3 trained and qualified 17 shipmates, ensuring that they are ready to answer the life saving call if need be. HM3’s dedication and strive for excellence in all things has earned her this week’s recognition. Congratulations!
