ATTENTION CITY OF UPPER SANDUSKY RESIDENTS
Upper Sandusky Water Meter Project

The City of Upper Sandusky has partnered with Ferguson Waterworks to upgrade the water meters and the meter reading system. Ferguson will provide the City with Master Meter water meters which will be installed by Professional Meters, Inc (PMI). The meter installation will start May 18th and should be completed in about three months.
Residents will be receiving post cards (example below) near the end of April in the mail from PMI so they can schedule their new water meter installation. Someone 18 years of age or older must be present at that time, and the install should take approximately 30 minutes. However, during installation, the water will be shut off. PMI employees will drive vehicles with their logo on it. They will also be wearing high visibility clothing with the PMI logo and employee picture ID.
There is no cost to the customer for the meter or basic installation. If there is a need for plumbing repairs to install the meter, the homeowner will be responsible. The new meters and meter reading equipment will allow the City of Upper Sandusky to manage our water resources more efficiently. In addition, customers will have access to an app that can monitor their water usage and help to detect for leaks that can lead to high utility bills. If you have any questions, please contact the water office at (419) 294–3863 or the water department at (419) 294–2416.
We will be testing the tornado sirens today, April 5th and tomorrow, April 6th. This is only a test.
The Water Dept. will be flushing Hydrants April 19th - April 29th.
