We lost the matriarch of our flock, Juniper. She passed gently, just as she had lived. I’m heartbroken.

Here’s the story of how she came to us with her flock mate Juliette in 2015 as the spark of our whole sheep adventure.

You can’t keep them forever, but sometimes you truly wish you could.

That’s Jo-Erl Farm’s namesake, my father Earl Parker driving the Grange float in Uxbridge’s 250th anniversary parade in 1977.

We still use that tractor. My father always said, “Fords last.” He wasn’t wrong.

Seeing this pic really reminds me of my Dad’s gentle easy, civic-minded manner. I miss him. They really don’t make them like him anymore.

We love The UXLocale!!

Thanks for the shoutout and for being such a great neighbor to our animals. Check them out if you haven't been. The UXLocale is truly our favorite restaurant in the Blackstone Valley.

We've moved some of our lambs to temporarily graze the fields near Evan Maietta's The Mane Place, up on what we used to call Williams Hill at the old Bangma Farm. The lambs are guarded by our very own Dolly, who is quickly making friends with the Uxbridge Animal Hospital's staff. Dolly even has a bucket at the animal hospital full of treats so they can go out to give her snacks throughout the day.

Stop up sometime and see Evan at The Mane Place for all of your animal needs.

Who knows. Dolly might even look your way!

Ben is home!

Me: Is there anything I can help bring in for you?

Him (laughing): Well, you can carry in the two poopy coveralls that are on the lawn.

Me: yeah, no.

He’s freshly bovine AI certified (and I don’t mean artificial intelligence) and has the manure receipts to prove it.

Halfway through undergrad. One quarter of the way to being a veterinarian. Now he sleeps.
