Solano County, like the rest of California, receives much of its rainfall in the fall and winter months. Installing a rain barrel to capture runoff from your roof can be a great way to irrigate the plants in your garden. Did you know that the roof of a 1,000 square foot house can collect up to 600 gallons per one inch of rain?

As Election Day draws near there are still over 4000 residents of Vacaville District 5 that have yet to vote. When reviewing at candidates, look at the variety of their endorsements or lack thereof. Is it one group/demographic pushing for a candidate or is the support coming from diverse aspects of the community? Research your candidates and vote who resonates with you the most or who you think will do the most good for our community.

Jason Roberts, is the incumbent Councilman. He is not only approachable, but well liked in his district. Roberts is a soft leader, that looks at problems, from a perspective of serving the people and meeting their needs.

Councilman Roberts, has shown his ability to pull the community in, make tough decisions, but look beyond what is in front of him, and see what we can be. His District, does not have a lot of need, and we are sure Roberts is apart of that. We were very happy to endorse Councilman Jason Roberts.
