I'd like to thank all the firefighters thats been sacrificing thier time and strength to battle all these horrific fires due to high winds and very low humidity and fuels that go for miles across our lands, towns, and homes taking so much h from our loved ones and friends and their families. I hear so much about how firefighters don't do anything or its not hard to do what we do but from where I stand in all this chaos I see men and women giving up everything and pushing themselves past the point of exhaustion and some even give their lives to save somebody or something and train when we can and because of your hard work and sacrifices we get to move on in life and start a new day so with that being said id like to thank. ( Loco Fire Department, ) (Ratliff City Fire Department, ) (Oakridge Fire Department, ) (Velma fire Department ) ( Doyle Fire Department )( Pernell Fire Department ) and all other fire departments that have been battling the wildfires and for all your hard work and dedication and sacrifices through all these fires and im sure more to come im proud to be a part of this family of brothers and sisters again ( THANK YOU )

Velma Fire/EMS started the day with a 1/2 mile stroll, restricted passage, and fire extinguisher training followed by lunch and a business meeting before performing some needed equipment maintenance and repair to finish out the day. Thanks firefighters for your dedication and service.
