We may be almost two months late with this shout-out, but we’re pretty sure 25 years of service deserves a celebration no matter when we get around to it!

🚒 NEW ENGINES HAVE ARRIVED! 🚒

Today was a great day at Indian River County Fire Rescue as Engine 7 and Engine 12 officially arrived! 🔥

These new engines represent another investment in the equipment, safety, and service we provide to our community every day.

A HUGE thank you to South Florida Emergency Vehicles for once again taking great care of Indian River County Fire Rescue and delivering quality apparatus we can count on! We truly appreciate your continued partnership and commitment to our department.

Yesterday afternoon, Indian River County Fire Rescue and the Florida Forest Service responded to a brush fire on 77th Street in south Fellsmere.

While enroute, crews observed heavy smoke coming from the area and immediately requested additional units. Upon arrival, crews encountered multiple spot fires and quickly began working to bring the fire under control.

Crews successfully contained the brush fire at approximately 35 acres. Thankfully, no structures were threatened and no injuries were reported.

Yesterday afternoon, IRCFR crews responded to a small brush fire and a drone captured this incredible perspective of our firefighters at work.
