We’ve lost two local First Responders in the last two days. We send our prayers and condolences to the families of, Firefighter John Ellsworth of Bloomington VFD, and Sgt Michael Krucenski of GCSO. Both of these men dedicated their lives to serve their communities and we thank them for that! Godspeed brothers, we’ve got the watch from here!

🔥 BURN BAN LIFTED 🔥

Effective Monday, October 5, 2026.

This morning in Commissioners Court, the Victoria County Burn Ban was lifted.

Residents may resume outdoor burning in accordance with state law and local guidelines. Please continue to use caution and practice safe burning.

🚨 TRAFFIC ADVISORY🚨

DPS is investigating a traffic accident at US Highway 59 and Spur 91.

Traffic impacts:

US Highway 77 South approaching US Highway 59 North is reduced to one lane.
Traffic from US Highway 59 South approaching Spur 91 toward US Highway 59 North is currently shut down.

Motorists are encouraged to use caution, allow extra travel time, and seek alternate routes if possible.

Please avoid the area if you can and follow directions from emergency personnel.
