Raisin VFD is currently standing by with multiple personnel at the station for quick response, as all Victoria Fire Department personnel are currently working multiple structure fires in the city along with Jackson County units

Victoria Fire Department hosted a county-wide radio communications and interoperability training Saturday in partnership with Victoria County Volunteer Fire Departments.

The training focused on radio operations, radio familiarity and interoperability, ensuring all agencies can communicate clearly and effectively during large-scale and multi-agency incidents. The session was led by Assistant Fire Chief Dustin Ferguson and City of Victoria IT Radio Technician Wendel Giegle, with support from Fire Chief George Gamez, City of Victoria IT Director James Foote, TDEM Chief Piaz, and TDEM COM Leader Jim Allen.

We would like to extend a special thank you to all of our county volunteer firefighters who gave up their weekend and time with their families to train. Your dedication to improving communications and interoperability directly strengthens our ability to serve and protect the citizens of Victoria County.

Strong communications save lives, and this training was a big step forward for our region. 🚒📻
