As we navigate our uncertain and temporary at-home reality, things look a little different for many of us right now. Have you ever wondered why bonding with your baby during playtime feels so important? A new study has found that our brains sync with babies' brain during playtime.

While watching adults and babies interact during play, researchers also measured the connections in their neural activity and found that it rose and fell together as they made eye contact and shared toys. Read about this study for yourself:

This is your child's brain on books: Scans show benefit of reading vs. screen time

New studies done by the Reading & Literacy Discovery Center of Cincinnati’s Children’s Hospital found startling differences in the brains of preschoolers who spend an average of two hours a day playing on technology vs. being read to by a caregiver. The brains of the children who weren’t read to regularly showed massive underdevelopment and disorganization of white matter.

Scans of preschoolers' brains show a stark difference in brain development when read to by a parent as compared to when they are playing on screens alone, studies show.

For some time, Elle worked with tutors who would read to her, so that she could avoid reading herself. When this accommodation was no longer sufficient, Renee turned to LearningRx. See for yourself how amazing her story is!

General information

Brain training is a system of highly targeted exercises used to change your brain's capacity to think and learn. Science has shown that brain training can strengthen learning and reading skills and increase IQ. Research has identified cognitive skills as the root source of learning. Brain training describes a set of revolutionary new techniques developed by brain researchers and professionals that test, target and strengthen specific mental skills. If mental skills- such as auditory processing and memory- are strong, learning comes easily and naturally. If skill weaknesses remain hidden, a student will often face chronic learning, reading, and performance struggles. Strengthening weak brain skills is the key to permanently overcoming those struggles. Brain training succeeds where tutoring and other programs have failed.
