The WES Staff is excited to host our Easy as Pie Night on Thursday, March 12th, from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM. We invite families to drop in for a quick, 30-minute visit to participate in fun, age-appropriate math games. To keep the math "easy," we have partnered our grade levels so you can explore games tailored to your child’s current level and what lies just ahead!

Where to visit:
Kindergarten & 1st Grade: Visit the K/1 Hallway.
2nd Grade & 3rd Grade: Visit the 2/3 Hallway.
4th, 5th, & 6th Grade: Visit the Upper Grade Hallways.

The "Sweet" Details

The Prize: As students complete their games, they will turn in their "pie piece" for a raffle entry to win a Math Game for their family!

The Treat: Students will receive a mini-pie upon completing their games (available while supplies last).

Important Note: This is not a drop-off event. All students must be accompanied and supervised by an adult to attend and participate.

Starting November 5th – 25th, Westbriar is collecting mittens, gloves, scarves, and warm socks to support the Committee for Helping Others (CHO) Winter Coat Drive, helping families in the Vienna area.

📍Drop your donations in one of the collection bins in the hallway and add a heart Post-it note to show that Falcons Care!

Together, we can spread warmth and kindness this winter! 💙

📢 Westbriar Families – Important Schedule Updates!

✅ No School for Students – Tuesday, September 9th
Westbriar will serve as a polling location for the special election, so there will be no school for students tomorrow.

⏰ First Early Release Wednesday – September 10th
Students will be dismissed at 1:05 PM.
Families should plan for this adjusted schedule.

⚠️ Critical Child Care Needs Only
Extended dismissal until 4:05 PM will only be available for families with a critical need for child care.

We’re excited to welcome our Falcon families to Back to School Night on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM!

This is a wonderful opportunity to:
✔️ Learn more about your child’s classroom experience
✔️ Connect with teachers
✔️ Gain insight into the year ahead

🗓️ Event Schedule:
👋 Optional Meet & Greet with the Administrative Team: 6:00 PM–6:30 PM
📘 Session 1: 6:30 PM–7:10 PM
📗 Session 2: 7:15 PM–7:55 PM
(Two sessions are offered to accommodate families with multiple children.)

🚫 Please note: Childcare will not be provided. We kindly ask that children remain at home so parents can fully engage in the sessions.

We look forward to seeing you there and sharing all that’s in store for a great school year!

As we wrap up an incredible school year, we’re excited to celebrate with A–Z Spirit Days throughout May and June! Each day will highlight a fun theme from Animal Day to Zoom into Summer—bringing joy, connection, and creativity to our final weeks together.

📅 From pajama parties and tie-dye days to friendship, kindness, and music—we’ll be celebrating the spirit of learning, community, and fun that makes Westbriar so special.

🎓 We'll also honor our students during their grade-level celebrations, and we can’t wait to recognize all the hard work and growth they've shown this year.

🕑 Reminder: Wednesday, June 11 is the last day of school with early dismissal at 2:05 PM.
