I haven’t posted about Jax in a while. He’s loving the house dog life right now. We are looking forward to this deer season to see if he retained his training. I will likely run him on my own deer hopefully before we start the year out just to check him.

Also, he is still intact. If anybody out there has a female they want to breed with him we can work that out for a stud fee! He is a miniature Dachshund. We are located in Johnson County IL.

My lovely wife got her first deer head back today! Last season was her first, and this was the first deer to cross her path. I’m still so proud of her for this harvest and the memories we made together that day.

On nice February days we get out and knock the dust off! Practice all year helps out in the woods.

This year Jax had an alright year. Early season we tracked a gut shot deer that wasn’t lethal. We tracked over 1,000 yards with no beds and down to pin drops of blood for his first deer.

Second we put him on my wife’s first deer we knew was expired, he didn’t react well to the crp field, he was wet and cold.

Firearm season he made his big debut for a friend in the group, he started on a few white hairs, about 50 yards in we found blood we would lose it back and forth. We had to start at last blood a few times but after about 1,000 yards Jax was at a dead run after having me crawling on my hands and knees under brush we hit the open and he had me on a blood highway, he found his first unknown track.

Our last track was during firearm season, brisket shot. He was on but after quite the track and only 2 blood spots I pulled him off, another non fatal shot unfortunately. We tried our hardest on him but no recovery.

I can’t wait to see what next season holds for him, although a tiny dog he has the drive to find them and will only get better we just need the calls.

As season creeps to an end we are still looking for tracks, be it a training you know your deer is down or you need help. I am off work until 5 January, I’ll be in the woods myself, hopefully get him on one of my own too.

I know I’m a day late, but good luck to the hunters trying to fill tags this weekend. Please keep us in mind if you need some help! Jax is looking for another deer to get on.

If you’re willing to let us on a confirmed harvest for training we will be there.

He has an unknown that started at a few hairs first gun season, and he handled that track with a few restarts, we found blood the hunters in the group didn’t find that resulted in finding the deer.

We are just a call, message, or text away!

We would love any and every opportunity we can get!

Hey yall. Spread the word, we know the holidays are hard times for a lot of people and they still love to get out and hunt also. Don’t let the recovery fee question get to you. If you need help recovering your deer. Give us a call we will work some thing out. We just want you to get your deer that you put your time in for. I say this. Because this pass week. I heard few people say. Dang ok. I can’t afford that right now. And calling around getting prices on trackers. And few can’t find any. Well. I’m here to work with ya best as we can. We hope yall haven a good year! Hunting season slow for me. lol. Good luck. Hope yall have great holidays.

Jax is ready to get after another one! Gotta keep this dogs nose working to get him trained up to run with the best. He’s a little dog but don’t let that fool you. When he’s on one there’s no stopping him!

We will come assist with unknowns now that we have one under our belt.

We are still looking for confirmed deer on the ground for training tracks as well.

Here’s the misses with her firearm buck! So proud of her! The Whitetail Guy was kind enough to post her on his page! Thanks for all the love for her second deer ever! She’s brand new to hunting this year, she was successful with her crossbow but he wasn’t this impressive but I’m still proud of her. She’s becoming addicted to the sport and I love it!
